Summary: Im rating this at a 3 because of the write speeds!! The Plextor forums where I sought to find more information on the drive is almost a deserted island, theres not that many members and not that many "HOW TO's" Threads to help a newbie out.
Pros: It installed easy and my Bios picked it up without a problem. I have the drive in AHCI mode and it loads fast. I have benched the drive with ATTO and the advertised speeds seem pretty accurate.
Cons: Plextor didnt include a 2.5" to 3.5" bracket for installation on your case and no sata 3 cable provided either. I had to buy one. The write speeds of this SSD are kind of disappointing seeing how they are only 110mb/s. Any normal HDD can achieve those speeds. I would have wanted atleast 250mb/s
Pros: It comes with Acronis to assist in upgrading hard drives easily. It also does not require any firmware update. Which makes it probably the easiest SSD to work with at this time.
Cons: The acronis this comes with is an OEM old version of Acronis True Image its like v10 or something. It also has all the features disabled except for the things the basic features. This was my main reason of picking this drive over the competition. Without full version of Acronis the only benefit t...
