Pros: Win 7 Intel i7 Desktop and medium to heavy use. Very happy with this SSD and would recommend. Maybe not the speediest in all application, yet not a slouch at all. Great deal for this at 90 dollars with a promo code.
Installed it in a Drobo 5N many months ago, and have had no troubles whatsoever.

Summary: Back in the day, Plextor made some amazing optical drives -- the best. And while that may not have at all reflected on the quality of what this product would be, I did like the idea of it. I purchased this to put in a Drobo 5N in order to speed up transfers of "Hot Cached" files.
Pros: It was a great price when I got it. Easy installation, simple packaging. I haven't had it for long, but I purchased the 1 year extended replacement plan, so I'm sure I will be ok.
Cons: Didn't come with a screw, but that's not an egg subtracting issue. I just robbed peter to pay paul, taking a screw out of my work laptop lol. I can replace that from extra parts at work, since I work in IT for a hospital.
Summary: Bought the Plextor and a Samsung Pro at the same time. The Plextor simply out performs anything I've seen. The Drive die in the first two weeks but Plextor replaced it with overnight shipping at their cost.
Pros: This is one of the fastest SSD's on the market. It screems past the Samsung I have. Has been operating flawlessly for over a year. If you've been dissapointed by the other drive manufacturers, you won't be with Plextor. The are top noch!
Cons: One con is that the intial drive died and because its electroninc memory all data will always be a total loss. RMA and had a NEW one in 3 days.
Summary: I use my notebook for business, so I have a mechanical drive to store emails, documents, pictures and other data. If you're concerned about writing cycles, no worries. There are things you can do to limit them.
Pros: Fast! I'm using Windows 7 Pro and it takes about 15 seconds for the computer to boot up to the log on screen. All of my programs, such as Word and Outlook load extremely fast. Photoshop loads in 2 seconds!
Cons: Nothing that I came blame on Newegg or Plextor. The only issue is that I had to dismantle my notebook to install the device, so that's an issue with Dell.
