Pros: Had it running my OS and all games since it arrived. PC has been on 24/7, and in addition hosting a server for gaming. Under these circumstances, given that it has been a month since I got it in my new rig, I am very pleased with the performance and reliability of it. Pretty hard for SSDs to fail, but still I like when things work right out of the box. No software to install or anything, just plug and play. Compared to my old HDD, this thing boots my Windows 8 on my f...
Summary: Had no problems installing hardware or software, about 2 weeks owning it, it said the drive would fail. Well it lasted another 6-8 weeks later was running smooth no problem. Then it failed and im out my operating system. Not happy with it.
Summary: I Installed my OS onto one of these SSD's and one day it just Bricked up on me. No pervious changes, no new programs. Lost all My memory. Thank God its still under warranty so i can get a new one.
Summary: I've been using this SSD for over 1 month now on my daily work horse computer and it's been performing great. No freezes, crashes or data loss so far. I would definitely recommend this SSD. Not sure why some have had problems, it could be the set ups. But so far mine has been performing great.
Summary: Drive was dead on arrival. Drive is detected and viewable from BIOS, but cannot access it from Windows. Contacted OCZ support but they refused to replace with new drive, only with refurbished. Very disappointed with their customer support, and will never again support their products in the future.
Summary: I've owned 4 other OCZ drives. I just installed this drive so I can't comment on it directly. Normally these drives shine in Raid0. I'm talking fast! I did notice the SATA cable doesn't want to click securely onto this drive. This Vertex450 comes with a single drive bay mount and screws. While not that great it did allow me to shift my 40GB SSD out of the dual drive bay mount. I ran Raid0 on my 60GB Agility 3's which are out of space thus this upgrade.
Summary: This SSD is very fast, it gave my old desktop a new life but only for 30 days. The PC would not boot and I can't even get to the BIOS to turn off the drive. My system hung and I had to remove the drive from the PC for it to boot or to access BIOS again. I am returning it for refund, not worth taking chances again with another OCZ SSD. I lost all my data and wasted so much time and effort with it already.
