Pros: The speed is amazing for this product. My PC starts up from a cold start in 8 seconds and is ready to rock as soon as I log in. There is virtually no lag time when starting large programs, requesting new information, or downloading things from the internet. I'd say it's light years ahead of my last hard drive. One last thing: Whenever I've had issue with the product, OCZ's customer service department has been right there to help; they respond to my emails within 24 ho...
Cons: SSDs are a little touchy and in my experience not as durable as HHDs.
Summary: It has all of the things I love about hardware: It works fast, and it doesn't break. I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing OCZ after their restructuring, but they build a solid product. This is my 3rd SSD from them, and have had zero issues.
Summary: its been more than 6 months that I'm using just try on my actual PC every day from morning till night and it works perfectly. ik but this drive as a replacement to my original hard drive and I have to say the speed and performance is not even comparable to that regular hard drives, if you ever want to get a SSD drive this would be the one to go. I love it.
Summary: This drive is in the top four SSD's on the market for speed. I run win 7, win 8.1 with spring update 1, there is no difference between any of the four, and with my experience with OCZ support, you can't go wrong. I have run most OCZ drives in a RAID 0 128k stripe, I tried the 13 series modded RST ROM and drivers on a X79, and found that the 12.7 ROM and 12.9 drivers give the best performance.
Pros: After seeing negative reviews I purchased two. It's been over 7mo and not one problem. This falls along the same lines as the other drives by OCZ. OCZ has a support forum, I help when I can, and I see people blaming windows, BIOS, problems on these drives for two years now. I have over 25 drives out and I own 8 OCZ drives. I have never had one problem with any OCZ drive. One of my almost three year old vertex 3 drives had I/O errors and could not be erased or initiali...
Summary: Although there were a similar number of negative reviews when I purchased this drive, I decided to trust the RMA process and OCZ in general. I've purchased some of their non-SSD products in the past with good results. Now that Toshiba owns the SSD side of things, I have even more confidence that they will stand by their products for the full warranty period (5 years).
Pros: I seem to be part of the lucky bunch that so far has a working drive. Purchased 8/28/2013. This was a great addition to my laptop, which now is much snappier.
Cons: I don't have time to make food while my laptop boots.
Summary: Installed as the OS drive and redirected the desktop and all libraries to a 4TB WD Black drive on Windows 8.1 Pro. Bundled with a Intel 4770 and ASRock Z87 Extreme6. I would definitely recommend this SSD if you can afford the price per GB.
Pros: Repeated tests back up advertised performance specs.
Cons: High price per GB, but then Ferrari's aren't cheap either.
Summary: Initially purchased with intent to use this in my laptop, but given that it weighs almost 3x as much as the Samsung 840 Pro I bought at the same time, I decided to use this in my desktop instead. Any SSD can perform well right out of the box, but how it performs after months of use can be another matter. I wanted to test this and the 840 Pro to see how they would compare after 5 months use without TRIM.
Pros: > Exceptional read and write speeds, even after 5 months of use as Windows 7 OS drive with TRIM disabled. > Slim 7mm design to fit all 2.5" applications > Foam packaging protects drive during shipping. > Comes with 3.5" adapter & Acronis HD cloning software key (must download software from OCZ website) > Shipped with the most current firmware
Cons: > very heavy compared to any other SSD I own > still very pricey per GB
