Not a boot drive huh?
william f., Newegg
27 February 2014
Pros: I know this says this is not suppose to be used as a boot drive, but thats how ive been using mine and it works great.installed windows 8.1 pro on here with about 15gigs to spare after optimization's.speed is good, way faster then my old toshiba mechanical drive and very easy installation.also comes with a 2.5" bracket if that's something you need.all in all a decent ssd for the time being.
Cons: wish they would of givin the whole 64 gigs instead of putting 30 towards the reserve.not that big of an issue though the 30 works just fine.
Pros: The other guy got the correct size drive - there is 64gb of flash, but only 32gb show up because they have massively overprovisioned. Drive working fine out of the box, tested 100% good through a Hard Disk Sentinel Read + Write test across the entire drive.
Cons: Software working ok for me but not actually updated for windows 8, so you have to install it in compatibility mode for windows 7
Summary: Games load 5x faster especially when it comes to BF3 or CS:GO...boot times have also sped up dramatically...im loving it now, but at the start i almost trashed it for bieng so unstable with my raptor and multiple drives for dual boots.
Pros: It works after several re-formats...quite good actually. boot times are quicker, and games load faster, don't even notice it was a hassle to install once you install correctly.
Cons: Its EXTREMELY FAIL if you don't plug this into the correct SATA port. Place into the second slot after your big TB hard drive...i tested it with my raptor and it blue screened constantly had to re-install windows about 8 times where i said screw it I'm just going to install it on my TB Cadaviar black and now its running flawless.
Summary: this is not a ssd where you install the os. you do not need to reformat your computer to receive the benefits of this drive. simply plug in and install the software that accompanies it. you will not see the performance increase until about the 2nd or 3rd restart.
Pros: increases overall computer performance by about 30%
Summary: I do not regret purchasing this drive, although to use the included Dataplex software I would have to reformat my OS drive from .gpt to .mbr (which includes wiping all the data and reinstalling OS). Luckily, I was able to find a similar software that works great with this drive. eBoostr allowed me to use this drive to help speed up my boot times and application launches, plus it has an impressive full-featured demo available.
Pros: Very affordable, much faster read speeds than my 7200rpm HDD (195 MB/s SSD vs. 112 MB/s HDD), and a breeze to install.
Cons: Not officially supported for Windows 8 yet, does not support .gpt partitions, and it scored LOWER than my HDD for write speeds (79 MB/s SSD vs. 89 MB/s HDD)
Pros: *Startup times & load with cache are 3 times faster.
Cons: This is a 64gb ssd & 32gb is set aside for cache i understood that in the description. When you use this as cache the rest of the 32gb gets disabled for over-provisioning. I'm reading the description now no where is that listed its crucial.
