Summary: Switched OS to OCZ SATA 3 SSD. RevoDrive3 board was wiped and demoted to scratch drive. So far it seems to be working well as a scratch drive. Maybe I'll try re-installing OS & basic editing software again.
Pros: This board is very fast.
Cons: Difficult to install and CD drivers that came with the board were useless. OCZ web site drivers worked. I installed Windows 7 on this board, and it seemed to became unstable. Video editing software (Sony Movie Studio 12) settings changed by itself and crashed frequently during normal editing conditions. Be advised: this board cannot be RMA to NewEgg, but must be RMA through OCZ.
Summary: Once I got the new Gigabyte 990FXA installed, installing win7 only took a few hours to figure out the software was the problem. It took the normal amount of time for a clean install to get the updates and and programs all installed, since an image off a RAID array does not work on a Revodrive. For all this, its worth it, and it is faster and has bragging rights.
Pros: +Faster than any SATA2 or SATA3 drive. This drive loads at 1gb/sec and makes just about everything pop up instantly. + Installing software and loading games takes less time now. +Bootable PCI-e SSD with 220+gigs of available storage. Enough to fit lots of games and video with high speed access. +Build in on-board RAID0 controller for 1gb/second read, and 350+ mb/s using Crystalmark. +$199 price is great for 240gig at the time I wrote this +OCZ phone staff and email re...
Cons: - only for experienced enthusiasts. It took me HOURS, days to get this to work, and required me having to buy newer motherboard and memory. - Old Asus Motherboards and OCZ Revodrive3 don't play well with eachother. Make sure you know if your current, or future motherboard is compatible before you become frustrated. - The drivers they ship with on the CD are Nov 2011 and won't work with the 2012 firmware that came on my unit. It took HOURS to figure this out and downlo...
Summary: NO REFUNDS THROUGH NEWEGG! This card is not marketed well. When you read reviews and watch videos on this card you think you are buying a PCI-E card of insanity, but this is only true if your using it for servers or running virtual machines. For basic windows operations this card is no different than any other SSD on the market. To me it was not worth the money.
Pros: It's an SSD, opening things are instant as to be expected. Higher queue depth speeds are the best on the market. This is the dragster of the SSD market.
Cons: *This SSD will not improve your boot time from pressing the power on button!* Total boot times were the same as my HDD. Needs to be in the top PCI-E slot, this could change airflow patterns in your case, not for the better. The RAID on my card died, and I've contacted OCZ and they have not started an RMA yet..
Great very fast drive, but do your research to make sure it will run on your board!

Summary: Of all the SSD drives and SSD cards I have worked with in my I.T. career since 1995, this is the fastest SSD PCI-Express 4X unit that I have ever built into a system. That said you have to double check that your motherboard will support it and it will have to be your boot drive on most of the setups with it.
Summary: Newegg is killing their reputation with me. Also the picture is not what I received even though it is a revodrive3
Pros: Its IS fast... and now has native linux support. Recently received a linux firmware update.
Cons: same price as the 240GB version except it is supposed to be 2x as fast. My benchmarks only make 590MB/s nothing to balk at but I would have got the 240GB that was rated at that instead of the the 120GB thinking it was twice as fast. When I bought it, it did not have native linux support, which I was super disappointing about.
False advertising when buying - be very careful that neweggs specs match manufacturer part#

Summary: Don't know if I comply with the Product Review Guidelines, but when they state basically you can post a review just don't say anything bad about us it makes all the reviews on this site biased in their favor and what is the point of writing a review.
Pros: For what the part is it operates well and haven't had any problems with bluescreens, shutdowns as others have stated. You may want to update the firmware.
Cons: The sale places linked from the Revodrive 3 X2 brought me to this part number which was very new at the time. Neweggs specs listed the specs on 7/14 as read speed 1500MB/s which is what the Revo 3 X2 is supposed to be at. Review sites were also very conflicting at the time as it looks like the 460GB model was released slightly before the 240GB model. I called today which I fully understand is past their 30 day exchange but ordering several thousand dollars of product ...
Summary: Débit pharaonique à presque 1Go/S.
