Summary: I needed to upgrade my PC, and this was an excellent choice for doing that. My windows exp. scale hits 7.4 with this SSD. (UPDATE) After less than 3 months performing flawlessly, it bricked on me last night... No warning or signs of impending failure like you would get from a normal HDD.
Summary: Plenty fast and was quite satisfied until it died. OCZ say they will replace it with RMA. I asked if the replacement will be this exact model or an equivalent but newer one. They said that it would be the same model. Not very happy about that at all given that I am potentially facing another drive failure in the future. It's been ~10 years since I had a magnetic drive go bad on me, not satisfied.
Summary: So I purchased this drive on 4/2011 and today 5/12 arrived home to a randomly rebooted computer and a drive with Amber and Red led's on. This is usually the sign of a dead drive. I think I need to think twice about another SSD purchase based on the fact it seems to be totally unrecoverable. At least with ye old HD's there might be a chance to recover. We will see how they respond to the RMA request. No signs showing possible failure up till the failure today.
Summary: Same problem as everyone else seems to have listed. It failed and it is not even a year old. It made the computer extremely fast and gave new life to an old computer, but it is not worth the money given the large amount of early failures in the reviews.
Summary: I have RMA'ed this OCZ drive 2 times in the past 7 months. First drive gave me about 90 days, second drive about 120 days. RMA process takes too long. First one took over 20 days and the second about 2 weeks. It would be nice if they took a page out of Seagates book and allowed for an advanced shipment RMA without jumping through hoops.
