Summary: I badly wanted 512gb, not less than 512gb. This is the reason I brought 512gb instead of 480gb, But after formatting it gave me 474gb(!). For the price I paid still worth and cost of ownership is better than samsung drive. Thru SATA III, it give 220MB/second for writing. Why should I pay 50% more for Samsung drives?
Summary: When I installed this drive in my Mac Mini the drive worked for a couple of hours and then disappeared and was no longer recognized. Their customer service instructed me to update the firmware and the firmware update did not recognize the drive. They issued me an RMA, I shipped it back 25 days later, and they shipped me a brand new replacement drive immediately that's working perfectly. I'll buy OCZ's products again because of their after the sale support.
Great value and definitely faster than any hdd and is about average performance for an ssd

Summary: Update the firmware. I've had no issues with it, huge improvement over hdd and makes a good entry level ssd. The 256GB size is good if you only use it for an OS drive and have a hdd for the rest of your files and storage.
Summary: I took my sweet time dicovering SSD technology and it's greatness. I was all about having the biggest hard drive possible. 1tb in a ultra portable at 5400 rpm was fine for me. I'm a gamer, I like having all my games installed at once. I am also a game developer. When the time came to venture into iOS programming, I got myself a used MacBook air with a 128gb SSD. I could NOT believe how fast it turned on, loaded apps, awoke from sleep and how quite and cool it ran.
Summary: The drive really made my new MacBook Pro feel even newer. With the new solid state drives its amazing the life the computers have. The only complaint I have for the OCZ drives is that I could not make it work in a USB enclosure. It wouldn't work until I plugged it in on the Sata bus. Once I did that it works great. Along with a huge performance increase the battery life is amazing.
Summary: I have one of these installed in a multimedia PC running Windows 8. It's lightning fast! I have never had any problems at all with OCZ SSDs but I have always observed strict rules when installing and configuring them (I have 9 OCZ disks of various models and sizes from 60Gb to 256Gb in total in 7 different machines - some now over 2 years old and still in good health). First, make sure your BIOS is set to AHCI before you put the disk anywhere near the machine.
