Pros: Nice and fast! First one died but the new one has been fast and perfect for over 6 months now.
Cons: The first one died right at 1 month so I could not return it to NewEgg. But OCZ's RMA service was quick. A brand new SSD arrived only 9 days after I mailed the RMA back. Minus the one egg for the first SSD. Hope this one lasts.
Summary: I badly wanted 512gb, not less than 512gb. This is the reason I brought 512gb instead of 480gb, But after formatting it gave me 474gb(!). For the price I paid still worth and cost of ownership is better than samsung drive. Thru SATA III, it give 220MB/second for writing. Why should I pay 50% more for Samsung drives?
Summary: its just you don't know how to do the proper install that kills something.
Pros: i got a good price on 2 did not buy here
Cons: if you do not know the way to set up an ssd it will run slower, down load (AS SSD benchmark) it will give you the info where you need to look you will see msahci failed and need to set up your drive in your BIOS its not automatic i ran another with out knowing untill doing this home work, Google it
Summary: When I installed this drive in my Mac Mini the drive worked for a couple of hours and then disappeared and was no longer recognized. Their customer service instructed me to update the firmware and the firmware update did not recognize the drive. They issued me an RMA, I shipped it back 25 days later, and they shipped me a brand new replacement drive immediately that's working perfectly. I'll buy OCZ's products again because of their after the sale support.
Great value and definitely faster than any hdd and is about average performance for an ssd

Summary: Update the firmware. I've had no issues with it, huge improvement over hdd and makes a good entry level ssd. The 256GB size is good if you only use it for an OS drive and have a hdd for the rest of your files and storage.
Summary: I took my sweet time dicovering SSD technology and it's greatness. I was all about having the biggest hard drive possible. 1tb in a ultra portable at 5400 rpm was fine for me. I'm a gamer, I like having all my games installed at once. I am also a game developer. When the time came to venture into iOS programming, I got myself a used MacBook air with a 128gb SSD. I could NOT believe how fast it turned on, loaded apps, awoke from sleep and how quite and cool it ran.
Summary: When I purchased the drive it was suppose to come with the conversion kit. It showed up without it. I called amazon and complained. They gave me a credit to purchase the kit. Took forever to get the kit. Ended up having to order it from a different vender. Once I had it, I ran in to problems getting the computer to recognize the drive. Turns out, since the drive is NOT FORMATTED, it isn't "seen" by the OS through the SATA-USB converter.
Summary: After reading previous reviews regarding bad RMA processes and file corruption I took a chance on this drive and have no issues thus far. The drive didn't show in windows explorer initially, but simple drive management fixed that by assigning a drive letter. Windows installed with ease. Drive arrived with latest firmware. Boot times are pleasurable. If you want top of the line, don't buy this. If you want a good product for the price, buy this.
Pros: Quick and reasonably priced. Size is perfect for OS, a few games, necessary software, and still a bit of spare capacity.
Cons: Didn't come with a 2.5 to 3.5 drive bay adapter, but that's a cheap purchase or easy home-manufactured item.
