Summary: This drive worked for well over a year in my MacBook Pro 2010, I don't even keep my data on it, only the OS and Apps. But once it failed, it failed hard. Probably for many of the reasons stated in the many many reviews. Disk Utility could not repair it and suggested I "Back up as many files as possible, reformat the disk, and restore your backed up files.". I did that and decided to check the drive for errors and restore all my backed up data 2x to this disk.
Summary: Don't buy OCZ unless you want problems, you will loose data!!!
Pros: NOT One!
Cons: Worst SSD brand on the planet!!! I have had at least 4 OCZ drives fail in the last 6 months. Their tech support is the worst. When they do work, which isn't very long , they are always problematic. I have had close to a dozen of their SSD drives (Various Models) and they all give me nothing but grief. Not one has lasted more than six months. Save yourself the headache and spend a little more. Samsung's are bullet proof!!! Not one failure of that brand
Summary: I used to buy OCZ everything from RAM to Power supply, I won't buy OCZ anymore their customer service is horrible. now that I think about it, I remember they gave me so much trouble when I was trying to RMA my power supply that I just gave up on it.
Pros: I brought 2 of these a few months a part, 2 and a half years ago. they ran well untill the first one died a month ago and now the 2nd one is dead too.
Cons: I brought 2 of these a few months a part, 2 and a half years ago. they ran well untill the first one died a month ago and now the 2nd one is dead too. I'm trying to RMA them since it has a 3 year warranty but OCZ customer service is so BAD. they are asking me for firmware and all kind of useless info. the SSD doesn't even show up in bios, how the hell am I suppose to see the firmware.
