  • Summary: I bought this SSD just last week, as I was looking to upgrade my previous 128GB SSD. Must say that the high price was a barrier, but I had no choice. But I'm really happy I got it. Its fast and capacious and safe! :) Good for another 2-3 years!

256Gb SSD for X301

Anthony C., Amazon
8 July 2013
  • Summary: I had some reservations about ordering this drive for my X301 (2776-LFG) due to some comments on other websites saying that they couldn't get the larger drives to work on the X301. However, I did manage to find an article on the Lenovo website which directly referenced the model / part number. So I ordered it and it works perfectly. No problems at all.

Great Product & Incredible Price

  • Summary: I replaced my T520i and wanted better encryption and more space than the 160GB drive from Lenovo. This drive is great but you need the OEM disks to rebuild the hard drive out of the box for Windows etc. The security for this product is also as fast as the SSD drive which is saying something. Think 30 seconds from a cold start to working! It's awesome!

Your only option for an SSD wtih FDE

Joe, Amazon
21 April 2013
  • Summary: Wouldn't it be nice to not have to worry about what happens when your laptop is stolen out of your car or from a cafe? Wouldn't you like that laptop to be fast and quiet, too? You can buy an assortment of very good SSD devices. You can also buy lots of very good FDE (full disk encryption) hard disks, but this drive is currently the only available unit that has both features. You already know why you want an SSD -- because it's *fast*.

Outrageously priced and underpowered

MoonX, Amazon
19 April 2013
  • Summary: There are many options for SSD's that have a much larger capacity and a much lower price tag than this drive. In fact, I recently replaced the stock Intel SSD in my Lenovo W510 with a Samsung 840 Series SSD with 500GB capacity and it works flawlessly. I had to add some rubber padding against the SSD to hold it in place in the stock hard drive location but I also payed $400, not $800, and got twice the capacity.
