For desktop installation REQUIRES a second internal hard drive bay ...

Summary: For desktop installation REQUIRES a second internal hard drive bay. Not all desktop PCs have a second drive bay. My Lenovo Think Centre only has one drive bay. Other products attach the new SSD drive externally with USB cable. Also, open the CD directory and search for English instructions. If allowed to autoplay, it starts in Chinese.
Summary: I knew the reviews showed mixed performance depending on the version received. When I received an even newer version I was excited. That did not last long. This drive is nothing like I expected for speed. I will be moving to a different manufacturer for my other computers and for my customers, as well.
Pros: This drive was a snap to install and format on my Imac and easy to add Trim capabilities. It runs cool and is of course quiet.
Cons: Forget the 450 Mb/s write and read. After downloading Blackmagic and checking, with and without Trim turned on, all I could get was 118 Mb/S Write and 120 Mb/s Read. I then compared this to my old spin type hard drive. The old drive only averaged 20 Mb/S, so yes, it is six times faster than the spin drive, but even though this is the 541a version, it is still nothing like it is advertised and it does not boot any quicker than the old drive.
you should better put what ever you promise in the box

Summary: I don't really know if I could rate this product as a five. But, when I got it, I read the CD and found it does not have the cloning software came with the box as the company advertisement. And for the reliability, I have to judge it after a few years in my laptop. To Kingston factory, If the package says what it is, you should better put what ever you promise in the box!
Excerpt: I ended up getting this ssd because my laptop had stopped working and the tech had suggested that getting this new driver would be the same price as doing an install and diagnosis of what is wrong with laptop and it would make laptop work that much faster. I don't know that I have noticed that much of an increase in speed of the laptop. If it wasn't for the "special" they were offering I would not have purchased it.
Summary: Just completed my Solid State Hard Drive conversion. The supplied software would not copy my original drive to the new SSD. Kingston Tech Support suggested I try Macrium Reflex which also failed to perform the task. Once again my old Maxtor MaxBlast 3 software came through though and cloned the drive successfully.
Summary: Works fine, better than SSHD, but too expensive, have to re-install wins8 for my laptop. Some reason the clone software did not work with my Toshiba satellite Wins8. and I can not get windows image created.
Summary: If your current drive is bigger than the SSD then be prepared for a lot of work. After a big struggle trying to reduce the amount stored on my hard drive I had to do a complete re-install and restored just my data files. I used the method described on the following web site to locate the bulk of my user data on the hard disk: http://www.zdnet.com/dont-move-your-windows-user-profiles-folder-to-another-drive-7000022142/ My PC is now much faster and quieter.
