Yes! Absolutely yes! But read these caveats first.

Summary: I was skeptical about SSDs until I finally got this one installed and , man, now am I believer. If you have the skills to install one of these, you should order one right now! Here's why: I have a old Lenovo Windows 7, i3 desktop that took forever to get going from a restart or cold boot.
Summary: Bought this to inject some new life into an old Toshiba Core 2 Duo laptop (model L305-S59009, 2.0Ghz Core 2 processor, 4GB memory, OEM hard drive 320GB 5400 RPM). This machine had been "retired" a year ago when its owner replaced it with a MacBook Pro.
Summary: SSDNow v300 works real well and certainly faster than a non SSD hard drive. My experience using the Acronis cloning software wasn't very good. Following the instructions exactly I tried for probably 7 hours or more.. I was only trying to clone a disk that had less than 60 GBs used on it.
Summary: Easy to install. Cloning software was fast and easy to use. I did see some moderate improvement in performance upon startup. However, I didn't get any significant improvement on loading of programs or in the time it takes the computer to shut down.
Nice replacement drive! With tools to transfer your drive.

Summary: This is a great solid state drive that served the purpose for me. I wanted to replace my current hard drive on an old computer with a solid state drive. I have repurposed this old computer for use as a home theater pc, and I wanted the system to run off of a solid state drive for quieter and cooler...
Summary: Purchased to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 11. The Inspiron does not have a cd/dvd drive and the cloning software is not available for download from Kingston (ended up using EaseUS free version). Installation was simple and Windows 8 saw the switch to SSD automatically.
