Heard amazing things, but Kingston consistently disappoints me.

Summary: Im using these with a controller that only supports sata II, but i expected to see at least 300mb/s (theoretical limit is 375). In tests i was getting reads at 240mb/s and writes at 120mb/s. That's pretty miserable Kingston. I had the same issue with kingstons value series drives (they were even slower). Kingston is really dropping the ball. Reads are MAYBE close to the real world limit of SATA II, but writes are not even close.
Summary: I used this as my primary internal harddrive for a few months and really like it. It is like getting a new computer! It unfortunately completely died with no warning after a few months of use, resulting in me not able to clone the the drive before dying. It does not even detect the hard drive inside an external container. I may just have been unlucky... Because of the customer support I will give it another try...
