When it works, it's great! But the data connector...

Summary: I bought this drive as a boot drive for an Home Theater Personal Computer I was building. I have no quibbles about the quality or performance of the drive--it's great--but the SATA connector (the data cable, not the power cable) doesn't engage the spring catch on the cables I plug in. (I've tried three different SATA cables.) As a result, it seems that about every fifth time I turn on the HTPC, the cable has worked itself loose enough for the drive not to be recognized.
Summary: This became my boot drive for a Windows 7 installation on a dell pc. Only a few years old (see specs below), I expected to see huge speed increases, in particular boot times and loading within games. While the machine is faster once loaded, programs runner a little quicker and games have shorter load times, it's not significant. I timed the difference between booting to this in comparison to my old HDD and it shaved about 33% off the time. Not great.
Summary: Pros: Reasonably fast, cheap after rebate, support TRIM and has good "garbage collection" for operating systems that do not support TRIM. Works fine with either Intel or newer AMD chipset motherboards. Kingston RMA is great. Cons: Doesn't work with NVIDIA chipset motherboards. Thought the drive was defective and RMA'ed it to Kingston, and the new one behaves exactly the same.
Summary: I previously was utilizing a 2TB Segate 7200rpm "platter" hard drive with two, 1TB partitions. One partition was for the operating system and the other partition was for data. I transitioned to the Kingston 96GB SDD for the operating system. Speed (maybe 3x faster in some cases) and stability was improved for the OS, but video playback had noticeable dropped frames. Applications were more responsive, but installing them took longer than before the upgrade.
Summary: my boot went down to 45 seconds in windows 7 pro 64 bit. windows drive rating went from 5.9 to 7.0. But IE 8 not gets errors half the time. Reinstalled win 7 and still got the errors. Went to try using ie 8 64 bit, and the errors only occur part of the time now. I am trying safari to see if it works better. Not sure if it is a timing issue with the SSD or what.
Summary: A la livraison la grosse surprise!
