Intel's X25-V solid-state drive on its own and in RAID

techreport.com
10 May 2010
  • Summary: With a street price , the X25-V is easily one of the most affordable solid-state drives on the market. Whether the drive lives up to its value billing depends entirely on what you, well, value. If it's storage capacity, of course, the answer is no. The X25-V's cost per gigabyte might be competitive with other SSDs, but mechanical hard drives offer substantially more capacity for the same money.

KitGuru
12 August 2010
  • Excerpt: 4 Flares 4 Flares × This week has been an ‘SSD-fest’ on KitGuru and today we are going to take another look at the excellent Intel X25-V SSD 40GB units which we reviewed last month in both single and dual Raid 0 configurations. Why revisit them? A handful of our readers have asked me how they ‘scale’ when more than two are placed into a Raid 0 system.

  • Excerpt: The term "affordable SSD" would describe the Intel X25-V 40GB solid state drive well. Making high performance available around the £80-£90 mark, this could well be the tipping point that gets everyone participating in the Solid State Drive revolution.

Intel X25-V SSD mit 40 GByte

hartware.de
14 June 2011

  • Pros: God ytelse for tiltenkt bruksområde.

Jeśli chcielibyśmy porównać cenowo dysk HDD i SSD o pojemności powiedzmy 250GB, to dzieli je przepaść.
  • Pros: + Bezgłośna praca + Zadowalająca wydajność + Odporność na wstrząsy i wibracje + Niewielkie zużycie energii + Wyraźnie sprawniejsza praca w systemie operacyjnym + Akceptowalna cena
  • Cons: Ten zapis mógłby być jednak nieco wyższy ;-)
