Great for my Media Server

Anonymous, Newegg
18 October 2014
  • Pros: I have this in my Intel NUC (Centrino) home media server. It is perfect for Win7 Ultimate, Plex, Filezilla and Dropbox. I made sure to turn off unneeded Windows features and compress the drive. The media is stored on an external 4TB Seagate HDD. RDP with my phone makes use of a keyboard, mouse an...
  • Cons: I recently have started to maintain Plex logs that are taking up space on the C: drive. The limited capacity makes for a monthly check-up on disc space a necessity. Metadata could cause a problem with disc space, depending on how much media is being stored. Approximately 1.8TB is giving me 4.7GB ...

  • Summary: Intel makes some of the best SSD hands down. It's easy to upgrade the firmware. I have used Intel SSD's for several years now, and I have had not had any failures yet unlike some other brands.

  • Cons: Naturally runs warm and has reached 80°c one time before the "temp governor" stepped in and performed some managment. Although it reached this temp, it remained stable... Amazing Drive

Matthew C., Newegg
28 January 2014
  • Pros: This drive is amazeballs! I installed it as the primary drive in my Windows 7 laptop. I also have a 500GB hard drive for data and user folders and programs. 7-8 second boot times baby!
  • Cons: I originally used it as a cache drive (I enabled the Intel Rapid Storage Technology feature on the laptop) for my main 500GB drive which improved performance, but not to the levels I was expecting. It's much better used as the primary OS drive.
