Great Laptop Upgrade

C. Go, Amazon
15 April 2014
  • Summary: I got the best of both worlds for my Thinkpad T520. I have an SSD for my OS and a 1T HDD for my data. My laptop now boots very fast. I need to take away 1 star because of the Sandforce TRIM bug that this SSD have. These SSDs are ok if you use as a boot drive.

Jennifer N., Newegg
27 February 2014
  • Summary: Bought this for my custom built computer thought that it would be enough for windows 7 and then some ended up replacing it because their was not enough space. For a computer I was testing I used this drive added windows 7 onto it fully updated and then 4 basic programs Java,Adobe reader,Adobe...
  • Pros: Super Fast, Small Size, Makes Perfect Test Drive
  • Cons: 60gb is not enough for win 7.

Intel 525 mSATA 120GB

Michael L., Newegg
8 February 2014
  • Summary: These drives are great if you have an mSATA slot that you just can't bear the thought of leaving empty. Otherwise you will get a lot more for your money getting a 2.5" SATA 3 drive.
  • Pros: Small package, its only as big as a SO-DIMM. Maxed out windows 7 WEI disk benchmark. It keeps the mSATA slot on my MSI Z87 G45 from being empty.
  • Cons: Price. There are certainly better values out there. Why these cost more than a 2.5" encased SSD drive is nonsensical when there is clearly less involved in the manufacturing process.
