Summary: It ran well, although I didn't get the promised speeds. I ended up selling this to my friend, along with my custom PC, and he absolutely loves the drive. I love Intel, and even though I didn't get the speeds they claim, the drive was very fast.
Summary: Overall, I'm pleased with Newegg, but this purchase was disappointing and didn't have enough information.
Pros: the Intel name speaks for itself.
Cons: Intel packages this device in three types of packages, a brown box the size of the SSD, a blue labeled Intel box with a 2.5 to 3.5 drive bay adapter with a SATA III cable, and finally it's packaged as the second choice with a Data Migration cable also included...Newegg failed to alert the buyer w...
Pros: Have good reviews. Once it is installed, it runs very well.
Cons: Cloning process using the intel software is horrible. I watched a intel video about how to install the ssd on a laptop. I followed everything it said. Using the same downloaded software (Acronis), you have to reboot the laptop to start the cloning. When my laptop starts, before the window starts,...
Pros: Faster than prior 500 gb 7200 rpm HD; Allows Yosemite to run well with 8GB of Ram on older model late 2008 MacBook.
Cons: Disappointingly slow on a late 2008 MacBook (aluminum unibody). Installed on my daughter's MacBook which has a SATA III HD interface that max's out at 1.5 Gbps rather than the 3.0 Gbps the spec states it should, reportedly due to the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M GPU sharing the same bus (or something lik...
Not the best, but a good upgrade from the normal harddisk
30 September 2014
Summary: I bought this as an interim upgrade for my aging Intel M370 notebook. After all, it is important to think about changing the pre-installed harddisk that comes with the notebook after 4yrs. This Intel530 SSD is not the best out there for the price. I bought this because of the 5yr warranty.
Summary: The fit and finish of the included hardware and the mounting holes in the drive are completely unacceptable. As another review mentioned, the included screws are too long and bottom out in the drive before the included bracket tightens up.
Pros: Fast. I'm hoping it will prove to be reliable but time will tell.

Summary: Unfortunately this drive does not support the Dell Latitude Inspiron 3147-3750sLV (2 in 1 Computer) BIOS interface (Win 8.1 does not recognize this drive). However, I did have success with the Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB SSD.
