Summary: I have at least 10 Samsung SSD's in use without a failure. This is my first Intel SSD and it is not leaving a good impression.
Pros: Pretty with the black spacer and cutout.
Cons: Immediately gave me headaches. Showing then not showing in the UEFI. I was playing with GPT instead of MSDOS so I thought I was causing the problem. I took ill so I ran it on resume for a month or more. Then one day I rebooted and got read errors. Then it disappeared from the UEFI and then appear...
Summary: This drive worked all right for two days. I observed only a marginal performance enhancement. On the third day it refused to boot my computer. I returned it for a refund, which I received promptly.
Summary: Got this for my Lenovo "E420s". It did not work at all when installed in the HDD bay. When computer booted, it would not find the drive at all. I had gone through creating a clone of my HDD onto this SSD via a USB enclosure which ran fine. But zero when actually replacing the drive.
Summary: Currently in the process of performing a Warranty RMA with Intel, since this occurred outside the 30 Day Newegg Return Period. I will be very critical in their customer support and will post again. So far, Intel support is not looking good.
Pros: It is wicked fast, if it works.
Cons: After about 2 months, Windows 8 reported that volume manager had crashed and then BSOD. After that, my ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition stated this drive had failed the S.M.A.R.T Test. I tested it with another utility from another PC...Failure has been confirmed.
Summary: Intel looks like dropped the ball with this one....And I use to be a Intel fan.....Better thing twice before go for it.....Yes Really!!!
Pros: only low power consumption .....
Cons: Replace VERTEX 4 in laptop, At first time I could believe that it is SSD. I request replacement ...but the same thing ...This is something that make this thing performing so slow ....may be compression or something else ...even web browsing ....
Summary: I am disappointed for the lack of support of this SSD with the latest PC (from HP). The Intel Optimization program hangs (reboot necessary). I've bought a Samsung SSD which works perfectly with the latest HW.
