Summary: Its been three years since I purchased and installed this ssd in my laptop that has since died. This ssd is now in my Ivy Bridge build and works great it is the 7.6 as my lowest sub score -windows experience rating if you pay attention to that ,but I am very happy to have bought this drive Intel rules!
Summary: Got this back in 2011 and by far I still have this as my main booting hard drive for my OS. It still runs perfect to me and Intel has a good warranty provided with it like most usual manufactures would. There is an updated new version with faster speeds but going over 200R/W seems fine with me already.
Summary: I bought this hard drive a year ago, and it's made a huge difference: my battery life almost doubled, and boot times have been halved. I did a lot of research into SSD reliability and the Intel 510 series was recommended in several places. I've had it for one year and have not had any problems with it. I'd definitely recommend this drive!
Summary: Another hit for Intel. I am using this as my main program drive with an earlier 180GB Intel ssd as my scratch disk for Lightroom 4.3. I am very happy with the quality and performance of this drive. Packed and delivered well.
Superb, Fast & Quiet, Boots Very Fast, Opens Most Apps Instantly
7 April 2012
Summary: Length:: 8:41 Mins This drive is whisper quiet, blazing fast, and has worked flawlessly. Being SATA III (6G/s) I never feel like disk access is a bottleneck anymore. Being SSD, it boots and loads applications and files with blazing speed. The Windows 7 64-bit OEM install disc had no problem detecting and formatting the drive and installing Windows 7 to it in such a short time it didn't seem possible.
Summary: I bought the Intel SSD to replace a fast Velociraptor 10Krpm disk drive. It installed easily and makes the Velociraptor seem like a floppy disk (for those of you who remember back that far). The odious Windows boot is no more. 10 seconds for the Gigabyte BIOS and 10 more for Win7. Trade reviews note this as being particularly reliable - as are all the Intel products I've used. Highly recommended.
Summary: Ordered mine couple months ago from Amazon to work on my home computers technical refresh. It replaced a pair of Western Digital 10,000 RPM Raptorx (see-through drives). The raptors ran for 5 years non-stop (and still running), flawlessly, with jaw dropping performance at its days. Having owned a handful of Intel x25 SSDs all configured in RAID0, I knew what to expect. These 510s are not only cheaper than when the x25's, but also have more storage...
Summary: FAST & STABLE. Totally dependable, and I've been using it for months now. Never misses a beat and boots win 7 in about 10 seconds. This thing is fast. I was tired of looking at loading screens and now I've found the solution. It's too bad I can't get this in TB flavor.
Replaced Seagate Momentus 7200 500GB in Dell Precision Laptop
Amazon Customer, Amazon
15 December 2011
Summary: I purchased the Intel SSD 510 250GB in December 2011 to replace the well-working Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500GB notebook hard that came with the Dell Precision M4500 with Intel i7 processor. Windows 7 64 Ultimate. The SSD makes my computer much faster. There is virtually no lag time in opening office applications and saving files which I do constantly. Start up with the Momentus drive always required me to wait. I don't wait with the SSD.
