Doesn't work on MacBook Pro 5.4 (2009)

Dmitry T, Amazon
8 September 2011
  • Summary: So far I've seen issues reported for MacBook Pro 2011 models only. Though I also have issues on my MacBook Pro 5.4 (2009): 1. Intel 510 SSD constantly freezes (beachball problem) 2. Disk utility shows the directory is damaged and it can't repair it. 3. Disk Warrior either: .a. fixes the directory .b. Returns the error: The new directory cannot replace the original directory because of a disk malfunction! (it may eventually fix it after few attempts) 4.

dtaylor, Amazon

  • Summary: I purchased two of these, one for a Dell T3500 Workstation which only had sata revision II and one for a newer thunderbolt Macbook Pro 13 2.7Ghz which was supposed to be able to handle sata revision III @ 6GB/s. speed but with 1 problem

nemptol, Ciao
10 July 2013
  • Excerpt: In my opinion this Intel SSD is worth buying but i think i found 1 little problem i install it on my pc with win 7 everything was very fast an perfect but when start copy files from another pc (network) windows crashed and i had to reset. I think this was because my motherboard has SATA 2 and had conflict with SSD SATA 3 i tried to bios update and now is working but not fast as before. I tried in other motherboard with SATA 3 and work fine.
  • Pros: speed
  • Cons: better to use it with sata 3 motherboard

Intel SSD 510 250GB caro

Rodrigo88m, Ciao
27 April 2011
  • Cons: caro
