Brandon L., Newegg
9 September 2013
  • Pros: Worked great before it died
  • Cons: Every few months the drive will die on boot-up. After a few minutes it will boot-up fine, with a' Error Occurred' message on the SSD. Now I have to figure out if Intel will replace the drive or not...What a pain.

Dead on arrival

Sherwin C., Newegg
6 September 2013
  • Pros: Packaging was excellent. The drive looks very nice and the mounting materials were all included.
  • Cons: I used the drive to clone my old hard drive using Acronis. The original drive worked well, but the cloned drive would constantly give me "CRITICAL PROCESS DIED" error. I tried reformatting the SSD and using the Windows recovery disk to recover Windows. That process failed. After that, the drive w...

Random freezes - poor support

William N., Newegg
21 March 2013
  • Summary: I purchased an Intel branded SSD to avoid problems like these and support like that. I would have been better off with a cheap brand. Random 60 second freezes really defeat the purpose of purchasing an SSD.
  • Pros: Pretty quick, when it's not frozen. Recovers nicely.
  • Cons: Randomly freezes for exactly 60 seconds. After trying a few fixes I found on the Internet, I found out I'm not alone with this issue, but there were no good fixes. I then tried Intel support. Intel claims that because my PC has an AMD chipset, that must be the problem and I'll have to work with t...
