Summary: I bought 2 of these for $248.00 delivered. Shipping was $8.00 of the $248.00 so that made the drives $120.00 each. Had no problem set them up in Raid 0 array average 1150MB reads and 1000MB writes. Intel makes a quality product. If in the past you had trouble with sata cable coming off you will not have that problem with these drives as Intel adds a clip on the drives to make sure you have a good connection.
Summary: After 30 days It's still working Very well, like other SSD drives it's not the fastest thing to clone a standard hard drive to, but it does max out the Windows speed test at 7.9. A big improvement in speed running CorelDRAW and other sign software.
Summary: Intel SSDs have a well-deserved reputation for long term reliability above all else. Also, they are tuned to provide consistent performance in real-world workloads. For example, a couple of years ago we picked up a close-out bargain on an older model, the Intel X-25M 80GB SSD. Synthetic benchmark tests place that drive well below newer models.
Summary: Finally bought an SSD after upgrading the rest of my computer including going from 3 raid 0 320GB drives to 4x1TB in a raid 5. Got a new Asus z87-a mobo and i7-4770 with 4x4GB ddr3-1600 ram. Was rather disappointed in the performance was expecting more noticeable difference compared to my old q6600 4GBddr2 setup. After some soul searching decided this Intel SSD had the performance characteristics/price ratio that was acceptable... So glad I did!
Summary: For those who cant afford a 240G+ and get it with the $40 mail rebate from Intel it's a good deal! Power economy features make this product a perfect upgrade for a Laptop, my only concern is the lifespan of Intel 20nm NAND flash, they warranty them only for 3 year and smaller don't always mean better in NAND flash memory....We will see.
Summary: This will be the second one that I install, the first one being in a download box that's running 24/7, and has been for a few months now with no SSD-related issues. It's fast, but not like a 510 or 520, but it kills them in the price point. But still the 510 Elm Crest is by far my favorite.
