  • Conclusion: Designed exclusively for use with the Z68 Express chipset, the Intel SSD 311 Series is well appointed for caching data and boosting application speed. But preparation—and laser-focused purpose—are required to make the most of it.
  • Pros: Ideal for pairing with a hard drive for enabling Intel's Smart Response Technology.
  • Cons: Small capacity, relatively slow speed makes drive useless for any other application. Somewhat pricey. Windows must be installed with SSD caching in mind. Supports 3Gbps SATA only.
