Summary: I was under the assumption that the upgrade kit came with an internal drive bay adapter, but I was wrong. I guess I could use it externally, but I'm running low on electrical outlets on this side of the room and don't have space for anything else within decent range of my computer desk.
Pros: Great drive! Win7 and Fedora boot up faster and I am really enjoying it.
Cons: I would have liked a better description of the product.
Summary: As others before me have mentioned, a new system with a solid state drive as a boot drive coupled with a capacious storage drive is the way to go to get the most responsive system you can get out of your hardware.
Pros: I went from a clean install of Window 7 Ultimate on a WDgreen 1TBhd to a clean install on this solid state drive. What a difference it makes! Windows boots more quickly, program installs are faster. Coming out of sleep is fast.
Cons: I have to make sure I don't install too much stuff on this drive; I have to use the WD drive as the main storage drive.
Summary: I bought the 64GB SSD without the upgrade kit, which isn't being sold on newegg at this time. I could probably live with a semi-decent SSD if Imation was better at addressing problems raised by their customers. I won't buy from them again. Ever.
Pros: halfway decent SSD, but see cons
Cons: not worth what they're asking for it. Stutters, random crashes, no trim support. Imation has HORRIBLE customer service, multiple attempts to contact them gone unanswered. I recommend buying from a company that supports their products better.
Summary: Clearly, this technology has a long way to go. This hard drive should never had been released with this performance. I am not sure if other ssd hard drives are this slow but this hard drive totaly sucks.
Pros: Not one single pro.
Cons: I hate this hard drive so much I went out of my way to warn you about it. It is so slow it does not have the ability to multi task. Just the operating system running is enough to almost consume the hard drives ability to work. programs take literally a minute to launch. The computer frequently st...
