Summary: I have been using this product for only 6 months and the drive is already in SMART failure and makes extremely loud noises when copying files. I believe a new Hitachi drive would be the way to go.
Summary: DOA. Checking the disk Serial Number on Hitachi web site says: "Drive not valid for warranty" It appears the drive is not related in any way to Hitachi. Bad buy. Bad seller whoever it is. Do not go for this item.
