Summary: working for now. i like that its thinner yet still fits probably has a little more breathing room. was nice to go from 250gb to 320gb for a cheap price of less than $50.. I WILL update this review though if it craps out on me in the next 2 years or so.
Summary: This hard drive remember things. Lots of things. So many words fit on disk event though it is thin like a good woman. So narrow I can see light very easily without having to squint while disk drive is close to face. This disk remembers so much you won't need your household library anymore. I used the place where my library was to build an office building.
It seems to have been pulled from a Playstation II device.

Summary: This type of Hitachi Global Storage hard drive for a mobile unit seems to have been popular as a hard drive storage for the Playstation II game system. Yes, I know it was effective as a game system hard drive, and that it can be converted for use as a 2 1/2 inch mobile hard drive in a mobile, laptop PC. I just don't like it and was unable to get my laptop to recognize its presence in the PC as a "plug and play" hardware device..
Summary: A good hard-drive. Operation was quiet then most mechanical laptop drives. In terms of storage space, it cost much cheaper than an equivalent 300Gb SSD. However, my SSD was much lighter, much quieter, did not emit large amount of heat and was much more responsive than the Travelstar. I needed storage space of the Travelstar but in the end, i went back to my SSD and stored my excess data in DVD's. I will keep my Travelstar and probably use in my next desktop build.
Summary: I bought this to put in my nephew's laptop when I rebuilt it for him. He's happy with it. I'm happy that he's happy, and it's made his first semester of college a little easier to deal with. No complaints here.
