Summary: This is overpriced at $100. I am holding an unopened copy of this hard drive in my hand. On one side it is labelled HDD 5K500 B-500. On the other is is marked "Hitachi OA57915." Amazon sells the "OA 57915" for as little as $69.99.
Summary: The hard disk arrived on time, but a scan of the drive with gateway's gwscan utility showed issues with last 20GB of the usable storage. I was able to use the remaining capacity for now, but it is a bit concerning as to how long will it last.

Summary: Diese Festplatte (500 GB) ist hörbar lauter als die im Apple MacBook Unibody verbaute 160 GB -Version. Der Einbau ist kein Problem, an die Zunahme der Lautstärke - ein gleichmäßiges permanentes Rauschen - gewöhnt man sich hoffentlich.
