Summary: This HD died after one year with no warning. Not even a hiccup. Until then, it was a nice little drive. 1 year is not long enough. Enough people have had this problem that I would NEVER purchase it again.
Summary: Updated review: it worked great for one year and then just died on me with no warning. I will not buy this brand again. I'm going to a seller suggested by my college's IT team. I'm just so angry. As a poor college student, I can't keep paying out $60 every time I buy bad products. Because my computer is unusable, I'm typing this review from my tablet. Original review: It works fine. I am running Ubuntu on it since I did not have the chance to back up my OS beforehand.
Summary: 2013 update: This hard drive completely failed after two years. It died in the morning not long after boot and is unrecoverable. I changed my rating from 5 stars to 2, because it's affordable but is not sturdy. I will not buy this product as a replacement for the failed unit. Original post: Installed this my late 2006/ early 2007 MacBook as an upgrade on the stock hard drive and so far it has been great.
