Summary: Bought 3 for the NAS. One failed after a few days, and seller replaced immediately. The NAS is down now (for other reasons) but for the short period it was working - the HDDs were working fine, not as quiet as the Baracuda 1.5 TB I had in there before, but they are much quicker.
Summary: Best drives I could get for my ReadyNAS Duo v1. The speed upgrade from the factory drives is night and day. I can now watch and transfer videos/files simultaneously without lag or video stutter. Well worth it. Follow instructions and ensure backups have been performed prior to any drive upgrade/replacement. Enjoy!
Summary: I run (2) W2000 pro SP4 Workstations and use external Granite Digital Sata drives. Both Sata old type But the Hitachi Sata 2 GB drives move fast...real fast. Don't underestimate Sata 1... The IBM and then Hitachi drives are still the best in the industry. My 2TB drives on WK2 move faster than my modern quad and 5 core core stuff.
