So far so good

Summary: So far so good. Just need a bigger internal drive to expand from 500 GB to 2TB and found this excellent and inexpensive offer from Amazon. No problem setting it up with a quick format. Using Acronic True Image program cloned my 500 GB C-drive to this 2TB drive in less than 30 minutes.
Lasted for three years and now she's gone to the hard disk's heaven

Summary: Let me start by saying that I've never had a drive die on me before. I always ended up retiring them when their capacity turned negligible due to technology evolution. This won't be the case, though. This drive lasted for three years.
Summary: I purchased two 2TB HGST Deskstar in May of 2011 one of them failed July of 2014 with only 16053.6 hrs of operation. I can't find any MTBF data on this series of HDD(s) you would be better off buying the NAS series at least they give a MTBF of 1M hours.
Summary: ORIGINAL REVIEW: September 2012 - Bought this drive through Fry's at the store, so no shipping. That eliminates damage potential there. Took it home as a media drive for my HTPC. To clarify, we mostly use internet for the HTPC, so this was lightly used.
Excellent in tight enclosures and potentially in a RAID

Summary: This is probably my favorite media server hard disk. I've got eight in a RAID-5 that's been running 24/7 for over six months. None were dead on arrival. None have died since purchase or dropped out of my RAID.
