Summary: Have repaired and built new computers for years and the Hitachi 1 terabyte models have in many cases run 24/7 without failure. Out of about fifteen drives only one was DOA and the shipping box showed the rough treatment that made it dead. Toshiba drives are coming up in durability rapidly while Seagates just get worse all the time in new computers. WD Black label drives rate about third in my experience.
Summary: seems to be working fine.....great fast delivery. Using as an internal HD....just for storage. My other one was the same model but used with an inclosure that came with it. Failed within 2yrs. I thought i could save my old one by buying the same model and changing the board on it but it did not work.
