Pros: Bought this for my laptops secondary storage, primary being a SSD.
Cons: Finding a decent 7200rpm 1TB laptop hard drive seems to be pretty tough, especially where most laptops have a 9mm hight limit, or have a lower limit than that. I was prepared to sacrifice my DVD drive bay with a adapter that will hold a 12mm hard drive if need be, but thankfully I found this guy and I can keep my internal DVD.
Summary: very happy with it. Would LOVE a laptop with 2 HD capability so I could throw the OS on a SSD and have this for files like on my desktop but I can not complain at all of the performance of Win 7 Ultimate on this drive. 5.9 is nothing to cry about.
Pros: Put it in my HP with 8 gigs of ddr3, and intel dual core 2.00 GHZ processor. Works great. 931 GB usable space on it and disk data transfer rate is 5.9 in windows experience index which seems to be about as good as you can get without going to a solid state. I am a mutimedia junkie and a computer repair guy who needs a lot of space on a computer so a solid state HD is out of the question for a laptop that only can take 1 HD (as 99% of laptops).
Summary: This is the perfect drive for you Playstation 4. I installed it in mine very easily. The only thing is that you NEED A USB THUMB DRIVE to install the firmware update (provided on the playstation website) for you PS4 to complete the installation. If you don't, you can't use your PS4 until you do.
Summary: Thank you NewEgg for supplying me with so many good things. You have been my principal supplier for too long for me to remember.
Pros: My HGST Travelstar 2.5-Inch 1TB 7200rpm SATA II 32MB Cache for my four year old Lenovo ThinkPad W500 arrived 16 days ago from Newegg at an excellent price to replace an overfilled 750GB WD HDD I've used without trouble for over a year. I installed it immediately but when it first turned on, I was worried that it was defective because it was so quiet I couldn't hear it running. But when it began accepting the OS and files installation easily, it ends up running faster ...
Summary: it is the only 7200rpm drive of its kind. I have more then a dozen in different setups for clients. everyone works. it has a big 32MB cache it is under one hundred dollars. it is standard height 9.5mm . Ihave zero problems with this hdd and if you want a small fast hdd this is it.
Pros: I have a number of bare 9.5mm hard drives that I use externally with a Seagate GoFlex Thunderbolt adapter on my Mac. Using that setup, I tested this drive with the Blackmagic Design Disk Speed Test app.
Cons: I have only just taken the drive out of its box to test it, so I can't comment as to its longevity.
