Summary: I have just begun purchasing from Newegg and so far their service (speed of delivery) has exceeded other Websites from which I have previously ordered.
Pros: After reading a lot of reviews and customer comment sections on the Web, I decided to go with a Crucial SSD because of their reputation for quality and reliability. I purchased my first one about 14 months ago and was so satisfied that I have since purchased three more. I own two 128 gig and two ...
Summary: ...this is an early review. Some reviewers related fails after a certain amount of time. If that happens to me, I'll update this review. Story: I bought a refurbished Sony VGN-AW120 laptop over four years ago...
Pros: Works fast, instantly improved my laptop. Came with a data transfer kit and everything. Do your research crucial is one the best brands for an SSD, it might be slower in speeds but it's more reliable.
Summary: Disk performance has been the limiting factor for overall performance for quite some time. The T510's scored a 6.8 on processor and 7.2 on disk after installing these drives - that's a very decent score and we should get another couple of useful years out of these systems.
Pros: Cost effective upgrade to older but still viable high performance systems with SATA II interfaces. I picked up a pair of Lenovo ThinkPad T510's for about 20% of original retail. $100 of SSD later they are still solid, high performance Windows 7 workstations, at disposable prices.
Cons: With Windows 7 - none. I wouldn't bother to upgrade an XP machine at this price point.
Summary: This is the second screen shield I have gotten for my new Kindle Fire 8.9". The first was purchased at Best Buy and even after following the instructions to a "T" and letting the film dry for 24 hours it was slightly cloudy - enough that it was very distracting while reading.
Summary: For systems that are somewhat newer (year 2008 and up), enable AHCI in your BIOS, if your BIOS has that feature and install the appropriate drivers when installing win7. Otherwise you may get slow app loading times and "waiting for cache" messages in web browsers i.e. Chrome.
Pros: Installed in a hand-me-down HP dc5750 pc. With Win7 pro x64 loaded, performance is about as snappy as one can get from a 5-6 year old PC. The computer in question supports SATA II hard disks, and since the V4 is SATA II, it's a good match. Win 7 takes roughly 20 seconds to boot after BIOS hands o...
Cons: Can't think of any cons except locating a device driver (SATA) for the ATI (now AMD) 1150 chipset. I'm sure performance would improve even more. It's not the SSD that is at fault, it's the lack of a optimized driver. Making do with the MS drivers that came with win7.
