Summary: Use one of these suckers as your boot disk if you've got the money to spare.
Pros: This was my first SSD, and I almost didn't get it while I was building my PC last year. I'm certainly glad I did. While I don't have much experience with solid state drives yet, my first one has proven to reinforce my confidence in these types of hard drives. Nearly a year so far, and going strong. I used it as the boot disk on my rig, with all the core system & frequently used software installed onto it. My computer completely boots to my desktop in 10 seconds flat; ...
Cons: Aside from the common complaint concerning cost and capacity (yay unintended alliteration), I think you are still getting what you pay for.
Pros: I have had this for about 10 months. Have had no problems. Works well!
Cons: Only wish I had gotten a larger SSD... The speeds also don't seam to be as fast as they should be, windows boot-up is about the same speed as two HDD in raid 0. next SSD I am getting will be one that plugs into PCIe slot has much faster read and write speeds (but do cost more)
Summary: This is my 1st go around with an SSD, had it for 8 months so far and it works great, has not slowed down at all. Currently using it as a system drive and have all my programs installed on it (games & data are on a separate WD black drive). Plenty of room for Win 7. Very Happy!!
Pros: Very fast, Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit boots in 10 seconds. Very fast seek time. No problems at all.
Cons: Nature of the beast, only 128 GB... Still expensive compared to other SSD drives.
Summary: ** A little history (or "Why not to buy an OCZ SSD") ** I started my foray into SSD drives with an OCZ Agility 3 60GB. The first thing I noticed was the lightning-fast speed, followed by the silent operation. I was in love. Then came the freezing, the blue screens of death, the endless firmware updates that didn't fix anything, and I was disappointed.
Summary: It's held on to solid performance even when mostly filled on a non-TRIM machine. It's not spot-on perfect, but it's been a very good performer for me. I have a number of different SSDs, and I'm considering getting another one of these.
Pros: Very good performance in all sorts of situations (small files, large files, random, streaming).
Cons: Not completely stellar performance, and I've had it drop out on me once (requiring a hard reboot of my late 2010 Unibody MacBook Pro 15").
Summary: I have had nothing but stability with this drive. I bought a 120gb OCZ vertex 3 because I decided I wanted more speed. It died within 3 hours. I would recommend this stability any day over the "possible" speed with some of the other ssds
Pros: I received this drive from newegg about 1 week ago, installed all of my drivers and firmware updates. Drive is as advertised as far as speeds go, and has been extremely stable on my p8p67 pro board.
Cons: This drive is on the slower end of Sata III SSDs.
