Summary: Turn on machine to fully operational in 30 seconds under Windows 7. Use primarily for gaming, noticeably faster in games or programs where limiting factor is file loading/reading. Will see if this performance keeps up for a year.
Pros: Very fast load speeds after files are moved into cache
Cons: only available as 64 gig disk (50 gig cache). May not be relevant, would like more information on effectiveness of larger cache.
Summary: Put order in on last weekend and got it on Thursday. Install went fast without any problem. Have not had any problem yet, but it does not seem to make much faster. All you need to do is just close alot of your start-up programs that you don't need to make a bigger help. Maybe the OCZ could be faster for half the money. I do think it may of helped a little, but not worth the money at $99.99. It would be worth about half the price.
Summary: Let me start this review by saying I normally do not review products. However, I feel it is my duty to warn any potential customers that this item will wreck your hard drive. Continue reading for my story. I installed this product in my computer, following all instructions and after rebooting it kept coming up as disabled.
Summary: The Crucial Adrenaline is a very good compromise product if you want to get a large capacity SSD, but your wallet says "no way!" If that's the case, this is the next best thing for a price your wallet can live with. If you're like me, you're not too keen on getting some tiny SSD drive solely for your OS, and then have to re-load all your files and programs again on a separate mechanical drive.
Summary: I am using 2 sata II 640 gig drives in a raid 0 array. adding the ssd adrenaline drive definitly boosted the system. it even increased the windows experience index on the hard drive rating from 5.9 to 6.1.
Pros: definatly speeds up opening programs. a good way of using existing magnetic drives with the boost of a ssd.
Summary: The package comes with an SSD drive, SATA cable, 2.5" to 3.5" drive tray adapter and a license key. You have to download the 5meg software from Crucial's website. The included SATA cable plugged into the motherboard with no issue. I went to plug the cable into the SSD drive and a metal clip popped off the cable. The SSD drive doesn't have the slots for the retention clip on the cable. Installed the software and it failed.
Summary: I just got this for my overclocked i7 920 system that is beginning to show its age. The system is very fast, but Windows and programs took a few seconds (or minutes) to launch. This drive has fixed all of that. From the second time I open anything, it is lightning fast; and with 50GiB of space, it should be able to keep much more in cache than the intel 20GiB drive, plus I didn't need to invest in a new processor and motherboard.
Avoid this product at all cost if you value your system!

Summary: I am going to try to remain objective in this review, however I make no apologies for the statements I am about to make. I have attempted to install and use this product several times over the past 2 weeks. I installed this product on a GIGABYTE GA-X79-UD5 motherboard running an Intel Core I-7 3820 cpu, the software install completed successfully and the system rebooted without a problem, when I shut the system down after 4 hours of operation, it shutdown correctly.
Summary: I just got my Crucial Adrenaline, its my first time using a product from Crucial. According to some reviews here, I backed up my data before installing. It went smoothly, and I timed it, from boot logo to being able to at least scroll in Firefox without the Adrenaline, it took 8mins 30 secs, 1st reboot after install the Adrenaline and Dataplex, it dropped to 3mins 35 sec and 2nd reboot, it dropped down to 1min 2 secs.
Summary: I purchased the Adrenaline from a third party even after reading the two negative comments since the Crucial web site said Guaranteed Compatible with my Gateway computer. After trying to install, I found my computer did not have an empty slot or SATA port. A call to Crucial said the guarantee only applied if purchase direct from them. Oh by the way it is compatible if you remove the optical drive and install in its place. Tried that just to see how it worked.
