Summary: I bought my first-ever SSD - a 128GB Crucial M4 - as my main OS drive for a brand new build. I liked it so much that 7 days later I bought second one - this 256 GB model - as my main "scratch" drive. 19 months later, both drives are working perfectly. I'm writing this review now because I logged in today to buy a 512 GB Crucial M4 on which I intend to reinstall my OS, as well as have room for some additional programs.
Pros: Fast. Quiet. Reliable. Relatively inexpensive (for an SSD). 19 months of use with no issues whatsoever. Win7 Home Premium 64-bit installed in about 25 minutes. After enduring multiple 4+ hour installs of WinXP on HDDs over the prior 6 years, this was amazing.

Summary: This is the only way to go solid-state drives it takes my MacBook Pro 11 seconds to turn on and I'm on the Internet, it is A 200% better than the old platter drive this is what all computers should have and I thought about this for a long time until I put one in my MacBook Pro. Love it!
Summary: Obviously buy one of the new newer M500's or MX100's now. Great alternative to Samsung Evo.
Pros: I just bench marked this drive a few days ago with CrystalDiskMark and its read/write speeds are still as advertised. This is after almost 3 years of daily use. Firmware upgrades were always painless. If you buy one now it should come with the latest firmware.
Great SSD - no problems in over 3 years of onwership

Summary: Been using this SSD for over 3 years now of daily use and as a main OS drive. Have upgraded firmware couple of times(painless process and didnt even have to reinstall OS ) and it never gave me any problems while always being as fast as they get pretty much. It was my first SSD and since then i have purchased over 10 different SSD(once you go SSD its very hard to go back to HDD of even hybrids for anything but pure storage needs) and while some were faster i still use...
Pros: Fast and reliable - what else could one ask for in SSD?
Summary: Right now this SSD is my primary OS on my home computer since I don't need a whole lot of space. Barely using 80GB right now. No need to upgrade until this takes a fall. Would recommend to anyone but not sure about the $250 price tag on it now!
Pros: Bought this from Newegg back in Nov 2012 and I didn't even pay half what it is selling for now ($114 on my order history here). Not sure why this is selling for $250 now, there are a few other SSD's that out class it, maybe I'm missing something! It's a great drive and while I do remember it having a firmware update right around the time I bought it, I haven't updated anything since then. I've reinstalled my primary OS at least a dozen times since buying this and I re...
Cons: Haven't found a single thing to complain about in this hard drive for the first time in a very long time.
Summary: This drive has been handling my operating system, development machine, and most of my gaming adventures for quite some time now. No degradation in performance, it operates with fantastic speeds, and is an absolute must replacement for an HDD. Something to take into consideration would be even if you think you don't need that much space, 256GB will disappear much quicker than you think.
Summary: Excellent SSD. Worked great in my PC until I realized I needed bigger. Swapped it into my grandmas old laptop because she was complaining it was too slow. I couldn't have made her happier. She loves how quick and responsive her system is now.
