Pros: It's a solid state. It's going to be good, but look at the other pro reviews before mine. Haven't spent enough time with it yet to tell you the good stuff.
Cons: Advertised as having 240 GB. While technically true, you only end up with 223.5 usable gigabytes, all because the marketing team measures space differently than computers do. The math: 240 GB is approx. 240,000,000,000 (240 * 1,000,000,000) bytes. Storage is usually in increments of 1024. 1 megab...
Cons: Died in 13 months of use. Seems all these Force 3 drives have been failing. Its a shame Corsair didn't remove these from the shelves faster. Friend build a PC one month after me, his only lasted 5 months before it died.
Summary: slowest MLC SSD I see Read speed is about 390 MB/s Write speed is about 300 MB/s Price is way too high for such piece of junk Before test I make sure my firmware is updated Corsair SSD Toolbox software has "Overprovision" tool to increase the speed, but it' s does not help.
Summary: Do not waste your money, I have a Samsung SSD and announced speed for it is completely right. Basically Corsair lye about announced speeds which are 560MB/s (read) and 535MB/s (write).
Pros: Corsair has it's own free migration software "Corsair SSD Toolbox"
Cons: slowest MLC SSD I see Read speed is about 390 MB/s Write speed is about 300 MB/s Price is way too high for such piece of junk Before test I make sure my firmware is updated Corsair SSD Toolbox software has "Overprovision" tool to increase the speed, but it' s does not help. I set Overprovision up...
Summary: I've used Corsair RAM and Power Supplies for over 15 years on the systems I built. However, in light of this experience, I'm going to be rethinking that. It seems obvious to me that name that used to mean quality and reliability no longer does so.
Pros: Fairly quick and easy RMA Process
Cons: Replaced drive failed to be recognize by the system after little more than a month. At this point, I can recommend this drive to anyone for anything. Corsair's QA of these drives must be atrocious to have an RMA go out of this quality.
Summary: This has been frustrating. Tech support sent me a newer version of the toolkit, but that hasn't worked either. I just wanted a simple clone so I don't have to install all this software over again.... Thats what they advertise, and from what I can see they don't deliver.
Pros: Wish that I had some. I was excited to buy this specific drive because it offered easy cloning.
Cons: Says that it comes with "Easy Clone" software and "The Disk Clone tool makes it easy to upgrade your hard drive to an SSD without having to reinstall your operating system or applications. ". Have to download software from their website and then it still doesn't have easy clone. It is "under cons...
Summary: These Sandforce drives have been plagued with problems from the get-go and this will be the last one that I use. Regarding Corsair, they make great products, but when something goes wrong you will NOT get help. I will never buy anything with the Corsair brand on it again.
Pros: While it worked, this drive's speed was a dream.
Cons: This drive was unable to process a TRIM command after two weeks of ownership. Sandforce controllers have had problem after problem, and I will not buy another drive using this controller ever again. However, my real grip is with Corsair's customer support (or lack thereof). This issue has been a ...
