Summary: This is my first SSD and love it....I built a new system for Diablo 3 release, so it's been over a year. I don't think, I'll never go back to regular hard drives for OS. I have SSD as my program drive and additional 3TB for file drives. I'll upgrade to bigger size when SSD price drop on Thanks Giving weekend. Everyone should change their OS drive to SSD, its fast.

Summary: SSD's aren't bleeding-edge first-generation technology anymore, but that doesn't mean that the price is exactly what I would call "affordable" for the budget computer build. The boot times on my computer are typically under 10 seconds and the SandForce controller has so far done a wonderful job at balancing the wear on this device. Having this product will finish off any mid-to-high-end computer nicely albeit at the premium price of about $1 / 1GB.
A fine drive, but tell us what is and isn't included in the box!

Summary: Two complaints: 1. The drive did not come with an SATA cable. 2. No where in the Amazon listing is this mentioned. If I had known this, I would have ordered the cable at the same time. Instead, I had to shop around to it. Worse, none of the local stores in Manhattan where I worked stocked the cables, neither, Staples, J&R, nor Cables and Chips. Finally called a Computer store in my home neighborhood in NJ that builds custom computers who had it in stock.
Summary: This SSD is a very solid device. I've used it for about six months now without much difficulty. I had some trouble initially, but that was because my ASUS P8P67 Pro MOBO was having a hard time recognizing the device. That issue was eventually worked out. I've used the drive for the OS and one or two games that I play a lot. The speed is excellent and I'm impressed with the load time for games I have installed on this drive as compared to those I have on my standard HDD.
Summary: I am not new to SSD technology and have been transitioning to them for a few years now. We started by upgrading most of our field reps laptops. They were extremely pleased. Not only did their laptops boot more quickly, but their runtimes on battery increased dramatically. So much so, that many of them stopped by our department to compliment us on the upgrade decision.
Summary: Firstly, I want to start by saying that I KNOW what I'm doing with technology as I've worked with it for well over 20 years now, so what I'm about to post doesn't need trolling from 16 year olds who think they know better. Secondly, this review is mostly for those who either haven't worked with SSD's before or are having trouble getting this drive to play nice on their SATA controllers.
Summary: I bought this less $160. But, it is still very expensive. Speed test showed > 400MB/sec for read and write (this is SATA III), and sometimes faster than 500MB/sec. If RAID is configured, it will be much faster. Bios and OS simply detected this SSD. Little bit hot. But, cooler than HDD. No operating sound.... It is really nice. Recommendation : Purchase.
Summary: I have been using this hard drive for about a month and I have not had any problems. I haven't had the problems other users were describing like hard drive failure, freezing, an undetected hard drive or the blue screen of death. I installed Windows 7 64-bit on one partition and Ubuntu 64-bit 11.04 on another. The model # is CSSD-F120GB3-BK and I have not updated the firmware.
Summary: I'm very impressed with the speed of the SSD. Loading times were greatly shortened and very stable, no problems were encountered. It's quiet and very little heat is generated. Little power consumption. All in all, a great product that I would recommend for my friends.
