Summary: Pros: A little faster. Good size for the price Cons: A little faster. I also bought a Seagate hybrid that seems to be faster. Logging onto windows 8, the hybrid averaged 15-19 logon time while the ssd averaged 26-29 Would I recommend this? I think you can find better.
Summary: I purchased two of these SSD's and installed them in a RAID 0. One failed in about 7 - 10 days and had to be replaced. It was a good thing I had backed up the information and was able to restore it, otherwise it would be lost. Purchased a third SSD and set up a RAID 5, so far so good.
Summary: Well, trying out this SSD on performance; it is a good product if you have not jumped on the SSD band wagon. SSD's are fast and this one from Corsair is no exception. You will love the speed and instantaneously launching of programs. Now for some of the meat.
Summary: I bought this to see how much extra speed i could get to read & write movies to and from another hard drive almost no change but o well i was stuck with it (waited to long to return) so i upgraded my video card hopeing it would help BUT after doing so THIS SSD WILL NOT BOOT so i have a SSD in my...
Summary: I had 2 Kingston v100's in my laptop (Macbook Pro) in Raid 0. They got a read rate of about 300MB/s This advertised 550 MB/s (sataIII) I know I have Sata II so I was expecting to at least be on par with the 300MB/s So now I'm at 110 MB/s, which is still damn fast but its 20% of the advertised speed.
Summary: I bought this to speed up my Macbook Pro, the specs say it is compatible but I had nothing but trouble when I tried to use this is my primary drive, constant freezing and inconsistent LONG booting periods. Used it in a Windows PC with no issues. Great drive just not for Mac, not now anyway.
Summary: writes:458mb/s reads:540mb/s (SEE PICS) boot time is less then 20 seconds. This is my second ssd, my first being a 40gb Intel x25-v (got full quick), i must say i cant see a difference in boot time. this drive has far superior read / write speeds.
