good drive, but

Anonymous, Newegg
7 October 2012
  • Pros: good drive, fairly reliable considering others fail only after few months
  • Cons: the SSD stopped working after a little over 2 years - unable to format etc. Currently waiting on Corsair to send a replacement drive.

Fast Performance from a "64GB" HDD

RhC, Amazon
21 October 2011
  • Summary: I got this HDD to replace a faulty laptop drive. The performance is really fast; I was surprised at the performance boost, especially on OS and program start-up - I was expecting some, but not as much as the drive ended up giving me.

  • Summary: Sapphire Pure Fusion Mini AMD E-350 APU Kingston 4Gb DDR3 SoDimm Corsair Nova 32Gb SSD WD Green 1TB HDD Slim Blu Ray/DVD-RW Drive IN WIN BP655.200BL M-ITX Case w/ 200w PS Win 7 HP x64 Hauppauge HD PVR
  • Pros: I originally used this in my Wife's new ITX gaming box, and I have since removed it. It is now in my new AMD Zacate APU HTPC. AMD Fusion is not renowned for it's speed. What it is good for is high quality integrated GPU and low power draw. I decided to throw this in there to give it all the help ...
  • Cons: I pulled this from a previous build becuase I noticed no real-world difference between this and a 7200 RPM and 32 Mb Cache 320 Gb latpop hard drive. Benchmarks said otherwise, but I was concerned with ACTUAL performance. So I happened to have it lying around. It couldn't hold the Win 7 OS, as wel...

Need more storage

Marc P., Newegg
5 May 2011
  • Pros: Hard drive is pretty awesome. Computer boots up in less than a minute and program load times are almost non existent.
  • Cons: You can use this as a operating system drive, but the space is hard to deal with. I'd suggest a 60+ GB if your going to use this as a operating system drive

Great Drive

Todd D., Newegg
2 May 2011
  • Pros: It works amazing! I have not had any trouble with it thus far and hopefully will not need to use the warranty I got on it.
  • Cons: Did not come with a sata cable. I took an egg off for that. In the past when Ive bought HDDs I received a sata cable with the drive. Lucky I had a 4 inch cable on hand and lucky my SSD bay is right beside my sata ports on my mobo.

SSD Raid0

  • Summary: Loaded window 7 64 in under 15 min. Boots in less then 10 sec. Never see the bios splash screen now, only the raid screen.
  • Pros: Awsome boot time, game loading, overall performance. Didn't know how much of a bottleneck hdd had. Now got a 6.9 in windows 7 rating. Awsome stuff here.
  • Cons: I get high pitch sound coming from my case. Didn't have it before. Hope it's not something major.

Good SSD

David V., Newegg
29 April 2011
  • Summary: Good SSD for the price. Planning to get a faster SSD just because I want Windows to boot even faster. >=}
  • Pros: Installed Windows Ultimate x64 on it. Went pretty fast and enjoying the faster boot time. :) Don't forget to enable TRIM in Windows. ;)
  • Cons: No SATA cable No documentation The bracket that comes with it to fit in your 3.5" bay doesn't have the screw sides at the appropriate spot so it's just sitting there with 2 secured spots. It's ok unless I flip my computer upside down then the SDD will just flip upside down. Note that I have a Coo...

  • Pros: Fast and stable
  • Cons: Initially SUPER slow. Required it to be primary on the SATA channel. Once I switched it, it was rated speed.

First SSD

Dustin H., Newegg
11 April 2011
  • Summary: Overall I am very happy with the performance of this drive. I just hope it lasts over time.
  • Pros: This is my first SSD. It dramatically lowered boot up time compared to standard HDD. WEI score of 7.2 on my sandy bridge setup.
  • Cons: Still too pricey for mainstream adoption. No SATA cable
