Summary: This drive developed some strange behaviour. causing BSODs. Using offline boot CD, I zero-filled it twice without a problem. Those who know how SSDs work will know why i had to repeat the zero fill. Now, Windows 7 64bit would crash during install.
Summary: I owned this SSD for 10 months and it had always given me some type of issue. every 3 weeks random blue screen. it The blue screen was hard drive related and it did it without any hds installed and it did it on my laptop troubleshooting when this was installed so Yes it was the SSD ....
Cons: Didn't last long. been blue screening my pc for 10 months. Bad firmware? bairly any support on these.
Summary: I finally made the move to SSD back in 2010, and have paid attention to maintaining all of my drives. The only thing holding me back from purchasing this was the cost. However, I figured it would be a crucial investment since I require speed, above all else.
Summary: Also, I bought these because they had mail-in rebates. I never got one of them. WIll not buy corsair SSd again...
Pros: SSD light weight fast (as expected from an SSD)
Cons: TONS of bad sectors on these drives. I bought two and have used one of them for around a year as the OS drive and it has 46828 offline uncorrectable sectors. Another that was used for less than a year has 10842 offline uncorrectable sectors. These #'s were discovered by the S.M.A.R.T. data pulled...
Summary: for my 1st ssd i liked it, but now that i see that i wasn't the only one having issues with this product. i don't think i'll buy another corsair ssd.
Pros: as my 1st SSD i thought it was a great upgrade over the other hard drives i had. it was fast, quick. right out the box.
Cons: however after a couple of monthys it started making this noise like it was trying to restart or something. i dunno, but my computer would pause while it was doing this noise. then after a few seconds it would stop. this went on until last night. now it's dead.
Summary: I purchased these back in January, so I doubt there is anything I can do but make a set of book ends out of the drives. I'll be very wary of buying from Corsair in the future. Also, I noticed right off when I first put in these drives that it made an odd arching sound randomly.
Pros: Was fast when it worked.
Cons: Took two days to get two of these to even be recognized and setup in a RAID 0 array on Windows 7 Ultimate 64. When it finally worked, it only lasted about a month before one drive failed, and halts the post process. The drive that the Bios will still recognize will only show in bios, windows will...
Summary: For some reason my original very positive review has been removed. Just as well I guess. I wrote that review after only a week of use and gave the product 5 eggs. Due to the failure after 4 months, and reading that many others have had their Nova32 die in about a year or less, I'm dropping that to 2...
Pros: Very high random read/write IOPS and streaming read, as you'd expect from even an inexpensive SSD. Streaming write is about half that of reads, but still better than a 7.2k mech drive. WinXP boots in about 4 seconds. Miserly power consumption. Totally silent operation.
Cons: Died at 4 months. Took 3 weeks total to get an RMA replacement drive from Corsair, which has "REFURBISHED" printed on the drive label in large black print. I was without my PC for those 3 weeks as I have no spare drive. I'll be ordering a cheap mech drive to keep as a spare under the assumption t...
Summary: Have a 120GB Corsair Nova Series SSD and thought it could last me at least 3 years in my laptop. I guess I was wrong.
Pros: Fast, cool
Cons: Bought it Manufacturer Refurbished and have had it less than a year in my laptop, has about 1.7TB written on it and its health status according to SSDLife is about 15%. So, it is gradually dying. Unfortunately, as a refurbished drive it had only 90 days warranty and I cannot get a replacement, bu...
Pros: Quick. Good performance. No compatibility issues.
Cons: Drive died. Would not even be seen by a BIOS. Tried on many computers, controllers, and cables. Sudden and complete failure. It has now been over a month since the drive failed and I have still be unable to get a replacement from Corsair! (They received my drive weeks ago and are still validating...
