Sudden drive failure x 2 & poor warranty support from Corsair

Summary: Failed after 2 years. This was replaced under warranty by Corsair with a refurbished drive. The replaced drive has just failed as well with read errors. Interestingly enough these drives does not seem to support testing with smartctl. When a long test is initiated it would just keep reporting that the test is underway & stay at 90% complete. On Corsair's website it is no longer easy to check warranty status. You have to register first & show them proof of purchase.
Summary: It was a good drive for a short time. 9 months is a short time, and I was hoping for much more. I treated the thing with respect, didn't write much to it at all. It was setup as a boot drive with no cache, or swap or even log files being written to it. All it needed to do was read the OS and sometimes update it (the os). I really really hate the thing now. Showed no warning signs before it died. Just wouldn't show at POST one day.
Summary: I wish it was possible to give less than 1 star, because any hard drive that dies within a year deserves NO stars. Unlike any other hardware that can go out on a PC, a dead hard drive is the absolute WORST thing that can happen because every single important data is lost forever!!! This is my first SSD, also my first experience with Corsair brand SSDs. Needless to say, I have totally lost all trust in this brand.
Summary: Periodically lose the connection to the motherboard, restored by power down. In warranty service bug does not occur. After the end of warranty (one year later) no longer determined by the motherboard and is no longer work. Looks like I'm not alone: ( Disgusting SSD! Corsair does not recommend to buy.
Summary: Bought the 64GB Corsair SSD in Feb 2011. In just over one month it was dead. Now I face the hassle of warranty and ask myself why I'd want another one of the same. Bought it because it was low cost. Maybe this is a lesson for me. Here's what happened to mine: Built my laptop OS on it and it worked wonderfully. Booted WIn7 64bit in less than 30 seconds. Seemed all good.
Summary: When I got the drive and started using it, it was great. It was reasonably fast in my netbook, with no compatibility issues or any problems for the first half year of its use. However, it failed completely within 7 months. After looking around at places such as Newegg, I've found others have shared my pain with this drive. I've had issues with Corsair hardware failing prematurely on me in the past.
Summary: I bought two of these SSDs and both have gone bad within a year and a half. Sent the first back as an RMA and Corsair sent me a "Refurbished" replacement which promptly failed upon trying to format it... As I cannot afford to waste anymore time with Corsair I have recently purchased Mushkin SSDs. After this experience I will steer clear of Corsair SSDs (and most likely anything else Corsair).
Summary: Bought the drive on June 10th 2010 and it died on July 11th 2013. Per Corsair it has a 3 year warranty, not 2 year like the Amazon site says. It was not bad while it lasted, but it shouldn't die right after the warranty ends.
