Summary: Since we've already spent some time with SK Hynix's 20nm NAND flash we had an idea of what to expect from the new, incremental updated Corsair Neutron. With companies being forced to 20nm IMFT flash, 25nm is increasingly difficult to obtain, we expect to see more Hynix flash used in consumer SSDs.
Summary: Corsair keeps pace with continuing innovation in the NAND market by switching from 25nm IMFT NAND to the rarely seen 22nm SK Hynix NAND. This NAND provides a lower price point and extra capacity.
Conclusion: Looking through our test results, the results are right up at a top grade level when compared to the likes of a SandForce based drive, the benefits are also seen in other areas with the capability of handling both compressible and incompressible data with no problems at all.
Summary: The Neutron series from Corsair powered by the rookie Link_A_Media Devices LM87800 appears to be another solid competitor with the potential for shaking up the SSD market and grabbing a good chunk of market share although consumers might be wary of relatively a unproven hardware.
Summary: Corsair innovates as the first company to market a consumer LAMD controlled SSD. While the Corsair line currently utilizes both of the highest performing controllers on the market, the new LAMD controller has generated more than its fair share of interest, so we take a look and see how the newest...
Excerpt: Corsair’s Performance Pro SSD range is a favourite among enthusiasts, but Corsair has introduced a new range of solid-state drives that should also find favour with system builders and upgraders: the Neutron range.
