  • Pros: good storage, better speed, windows starts in mere seconds
  • Cons: Took a few days of use for it to rate higher benchmark scores for read write speeds. Found that odd at first -an egg

Solid SSD

Anonymous, Newegg
  • Summary: I would recommend this product to someone who wishes to upgrade to SSD without spending a small fortune, but 512 GB SSDs are affordable now so if you are building a top of the line PC, you could do better.
  • Pros: Very Good SSD. I had it for a few years and
  • Cons: There are probably newer models out now.

Very Fast

Ivan V., Newegg
8 July 2015
  • Summary: It's a con now, but not when I bought this drive, but Corsair's customer support has gone downhill drastically.
  • Pros: I've had this drive for about two years and I can tell you that it's advertised speeds are right on with it's performance. It even came with the adapter bracket which as many of you know a lot of the SSD's do not come with.
  • Cons: None.

  • Pros: SSD still runs strong after 2 years. Made and old system runs faster than new systems with SSD. Nice upgrade to Win 7 system as primary drive. Easy hardware install. Windows boots so fast now.

Corsair Neutron XT 480GB SATA III

Gentry B., Newegg
23 May 2015
  • Summary: Excellent drive, I could not be more happy or impressed. The life of the drive and energy efficiency is guaranteed. For those looking quick boot times, fast game loads or solid high resolution video streaming, this drive is for you.
  • Pros: This little thin light weight 480GB SSD pretty much nailed its top read and write speeds. When plugged into a SATA III slot on an Intel Z77 motherboard, according to ATTO disk benchmark suite, sustained write speeds of 540MB/s and read speeds of 560MB/S were almost instant. Basically this little ...

  • Summary: Drive has error correcting abilities also that you will never see happening witch is great when ever bit counts.
  • Pros: Must have!! Amazingly Fast!! Great SSD Very fast over 580mbs through a USB 3.0 to SATA adapter that's pretty Awesome!! Transfer 40 GB of data in about a minute. I didn't believe it so i transferred 100 GB in under 3 minutes. This Drive is on the higher end quality witch calls for the higher price...
  • Cons: None maybe little lower price but that will come with time.

LOVE IT!

Timothy L., Newegg
17 May 2015
  • Summary: Because Corsair!
  • Pros: All I've ever used in my computer builds were HDD's. My last computer literally took over 5 minutes for the system to completely boot up. Two weeks ago I decided it was time play catch-up with current technology, so I dropped a bunch of money on some cutting edge components and chose this as my b...
  • Cons: None, this SSD kicks some serious booty!

Fast and Reliable

Gokul K., Newegg
2 May 2015
  • Summary: Solid SSD and definitely one to consider when looking for performance at a decent price point. Being a MLC SSD, it will last you quite a while with moderate usage most likely longer than the warranty.
  • Pros: Small, compact and sleek, as expected from a standard SSD. Runs quietly and cool. The biggest thing about this particular SSD which grabbed me was the speed. Taking an average of 3 CrystalDiskMark specs the results were 522 MB/s read and 508 MB/s write. Lower than what is advertised but real clos...
  • Cons: No VNAND (vertical nand) memory. Touted as being the better type of NAND to use with performance and longevity benefits across the board Only a 3 year warranty which is expected of MLC memory. Wish it was more though. No option for disk clone.

Good SSD

David B., Newegg
2 May 2015
  • Pros: Speeds are exactly as advertised and are very consistent. The Corsair SSD Toolbox software is very good and not bloated with things you don't need.
  • Cons: Price. But it is comparable to other high capacity drives right now.
