Great Performance

Louie, Amazon
13 May 2014
  • Summary: Great SSD drive with good capacity, I own two of these 256GB SSD's and I have put them to the test in RAID (SATA 2 and SATA 3) also as standalone as both storage and main OS drive. These perform above my expectations that I recommend a pair for any computer builder or simply an upgrade to an older system.

Breathed new life into my Macbook Pro 17" (2008 model)

Bob, Amazon
24 April 2014
  • Summary: The addition of this drive to my 2008 Macbook Pro (Intel Core 2 Duo) made it feel so much faster; it feels comparable to my work-provided Intel I7 based Macbook Pro (2012 model). I wish I'd done this sooner, and look forward to upgrading my other computers to use SSDs for their primary boot disks as well.

Best upgrade for new or existing motherboard PCs. Transfers are the last performance bottleneck - now solved.

Thomas W Johnson, Amazon
24 April 2014
  • Summary: Best upgrade for new or existing motherboard PCs. Transfers are the last performance bottleneck - now solved. Having gone from 20MB hard drives to multi GB hard drives over the years with noise, defragging, and latency. The SSDs are the next big thing. For me it is not the GB it is the MB per second and no noise.

Work great, very fast!

Uncle Durham "Durham-Durham-", Amazon
20 March 2014
  • Summary: Mounted on a Thinkpad X201t, works great under Windows 8.1 pro. Super fast, windows 8 boot at about 15 seconds. Extends the battery usage time well. With the regular HDD, battery usually lasts 3 hr, now is more than 6 hours. So far no problem, hope it will last a long time. Lenovo provides firmware update for a few SSDs, but it does not include this brand.

Cannot believe how much faster my 4 year old desktop computer is

DEC_Houston, Amazon
7 March 2014
  • Summary: The vast majority of the slow down on my old desktop was related to the speed of my old 5400 rpm hard drive. Replacing the drive with this drive and making the old drive a secondary drive move my windows experience in (WIn 7) score from 5.4 to 7.4.

Major improvement!

Scubanut, Amazon
4 March 2014
  • Summary: The OE drive on our Dell laptop died, so I had this cloned. Boots up in 1/3 the time, runs scans faster & faster to boot off too! Yes it's smaller but it's quieter and makes the entire laptop run faster. Was on sale so a great buy when I got it!

Works great but problems installing

Bud, Amazon
15 February 2014
  • Summary: I had heard that these solid state drives were very fast. I have the Dell Inspiron 660 with OEM Windows 8 pre-installed. I thought that I could just replace the hdd with the new ssd drive and use my restore disk to replace the op system. Well, in short, that would not work. I went back to Best Buy and ask them to get my Windows switched to the ssd and they said they could not do that because of copyright laws and the only thing I could do was to buy a new Windows op...
