Summary: I bought two of these and put it on my GA-X58A-UD3R v2.0, set it up on RAID0 and the speed is incredibly fast. My OS is Win7 x64. Very easy to set up. I got a 7.8 mark on the windows benchmark on the hdd item.
Summary: So far this SSD has done exactly what I've needed. The only issue is that I couldn't use 128GB of memory. I would like to purchase one with at least double the capacity, but this one does for now. I'd rather have enough info backed up in case of a failure, than none because I wanted it all.
Summary: The turnaround from the shipper was excellent. It met most of my expectations to use it as a boot drive on a desktop running W7. I have several external USB drives that are usually connected. When these drives are disconnected, it boots much faster (78 seconds vs. 133 seconds on the original hard drive). However, when they are connected the boot is slightly slower, but sometimes the shutdown is over 2 minutes vs. 17 seconds.
Summary: I installed this in my 2010 macbook pro without any problem., made a noticeable boost in performance, startup in 20 seconds and shut down in 3 seconds, application startup fast, causes less heat than built in hard drive. Best price as most 80 gigs going around 200 bucks this one is 200 with 128gig. very quiet drive as well. I am very happy with this purchase.
Summary: After a lot of reading and much debate I pulled the trigger on this drive and have been happy since. Boot times are amazing, running apps from this drive are amazing and the drive was a bit cheaper than the comparable models. I have since recommended this drive a few times to a lot of happy customers. It installed with no issues on my new i5 2500k system I just build with an Intel 1155 chipset. I would certainly buy this drive again if given the chance.
Summary: I searched all over the internet for the best SSD for the money and I found it. This A-Data is extremely fast! It boots up windows Seven in about 20 secs! This SSD also has the TRIM function which is extremely important in keeping the performance of the drive after use. All and all I am extremely satisfied with this purchase.
Summary: Everyone has written about how this product is superb, with its Sandforce controller. The actual capacity is about 120GB but the 8GB is used for error correction and redundancy. This does not however have a mini-USB port as written in the description, however. To get that, you need to buy the S596 drive at an additional $20 or so, enough for a SATA.USB adapter or an enclosure.
Summary: First: You need an SSD. These drives are the single biggest accelerator you can buy for your computer, way better than more RAM or a faster processor. Second: As far as SSDs go, this one is great. Very fast.
