Nice upgrade

Edward S., Newegg
28 December 2012
  • Pros: Fast enough. Older technology but still viable. No issues or problems. Just be sure BIOS is set to AHCI for smooth results not IDE.
  • Cons: The firmware updater is picky as all if the SSD is your boot drive and I could never get it to run.

Aviv B., Newegg
7 December 2012
  • Summary: This Drive IS AWESOME!!!!
  • Pros: This SSD is AMAZING! It looks sharp (looks like a dark brushed aluminum case), and this thing is lightning quick. Very easy to swap out my old HDD. I'm using a Macbook 2,1 (2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1GB DDR2 667, OS X 10.6 Snow Leapord) and this thing is amazing...i cant say it enough. Install wa...

Awesome!

Erik T., Newegg
5 December 2012
  • Summary: Worked great out of the box. I bought two of these - one for a server, and one for my workstation. I can boot 5 VMs (2 AD controllers, 1 cert auth, 1 exchange, and 1 sharepoint w/SQL) all in about 90 seconds (at the same time). Not including BIOS POST, windows 8 boots up in 9 seconds.
  • Pros: FAST Cheapest I can find ($150 at time of purchase) Worked out of the box on two seperate systems. No firmware worries SATA II compatible Mounting hardware
  • Cons: Acronis software is OLD

Prefect Size, Great Speed

Travis R., Newegg
6 September 2012
  • Pros: This was my first SSD, I will NEVER go back to using a standard HD for my O/S drive. It has Outperformed all my wishes. This is Just the right size for installing your O/S and your TOP games on. With plenty of wiggle room.
  • Cons: None.

Still blazing fast!

Alexander M., Newegg
10 April 2012
  • Summary: Write now this drive is only $65 that is only about $1 per gigabyte. That is really good seeing I paid $100 for mine. I say jump on it. Yes some people get DOA drives but hey no company is perfect. Yes the fail rate could be lower but you wont be dissapointed.
  • Pros: Bought this ssd December 2010. Its been nothing but great since. Yes it took a while for them to release a firmware update but overall im really happy with this purchase. From the time I hit my power button to when windows 7 ultimate is fully loaded and useable is 29 seconds. Its so amazing.
  • Cons: None of my other drives can keep up! :l

Excellent!

Randy F., Newegg
6 April 2012
  • Summary: Some issues with creating custom partitions in a Linux Mint 12 install, but that's not Adata's fault in the least, and is easy enough to fix.
  • Pros: My first SSD, performance is amazing compared to HDDs I've used in the past.
  • Cons: None that I can tell.

Works great

Mark S., Newegg
16 February 2012
  • Summary: make sure to use with the SATA controller set to AHCI mode to get it to function as fast as possible
  • Pros: I bought this almost a year ago back when SSDs were still kind of a new tech. This thing worked great and still does to this day as an OS drive.
  • Cons: Capacity is low of course, but if you're only going to put the OS and maybe a couple of larger programs on it, it works great.

Very Impressed, 1 year later still going strong

James C., Newegg
24 January 2012
  • Pros: Awesome speeds out of these drives. I have two of them currently in a stripped configuration for my gaming rig (OS/Game files only) Cold boots up in about 30 seconds to a usable desktop, very happy, though wish the price would drop so I could add two more for a 4 drive stripe :D
  • Cons: Price on these has dropped from $109 to $104 since I bought them a year ago, been waiting for them to drop more substantially so I could pick up a couple more.

ADATA S599

Rodney H., Newegg
17 December 2011
  • Summary: This SSD is a very nice upgrade to my laptop. Boot times are less than half of a spinning disk HD. Enough storage for everything I need on the laptop. Load time for programs is very impressive. Would not hesitate to recommend this SSD. I would purchase another if needed in a minute.
  • Pros: Easy install, runs cool, extends laptop's battery life.
  • Cons: None

Best bang for ur buck!!!

brooke b., Newegg
2 December 2011
  • Pros: Fast, Fast & Fast. I have 3 of these and all of the perform better than any other SSD I have used. ADATA knows how to make an SSD & I wouldn't even pruchase another brand unless they didnt make what i needed. Dont be fooled by overpriced brand names. Thes drives rock.
  • Cons: According to the serial num, i actually got drive 12. WOW. This one had to be RMA'd but the replacement is perfect.
