A-DATA S599 200GB

The A-DATA S599 200GB is a solid state drive designed in a 2.5 inch form factor that supports a 7+15 pin SATA II connector and houses an MLC flash. Tested according to ATTO performance benchmark, the A-DATA S599 200GB model supports up to 280 MB/s read speeds and up to 270 MB/s write speed.

Features

The A-DATA 200GB 2.5“ Solid State Drive S599 is designed in a black anodized aluminum casing with brushed hairline finishing. The casing is aimed to provide cooling effect to the SSD and reduce the weight of the drive. Weighing 63 g, the S599 supports up to 200GB capacity and the latest SF-1200 SandForce controller which supports 280MB/s read speed and 270MB/s write speed when tested in ATTO Disk Benchmark. The S599 has the capability to achieve 30,000 IOPS in the benchmark tests and features a built-in ECC function that supports error reporting, automatic error detection and correction (ECC Recovery: Up to 24 bytes correctable per 512-byte sector). The static wear-leveling technology averages out the write cycles on each cell over time, eliminating frequent writes to the same flash cell and extending its serviceable lifespan. The S599 also features Trim command in Windows 7 which is used to directly write out old data that has been deleted from the drive. This frees up the blocks to be ready for the next write to keep up with SSD write performance. The wear-leveling algorithm also prevents performance and Flash cell degradation. The S599 is tested shock-proof, vibration-proof, and has zero noise emission. It is suitable for portable consumer products such as notebook computers.
