It is pretty great for the price but...

Juan O., Newegg
1 February 2012
  • Summary: While I love their mirco disks for my Nooktablet and phone. I am unsure if I want them as my OS drive again. Maybe it will do me better if it can cache my other storage drives.
  • Pros: It is fast. I am using this as my OS drive, couple work programs and BF3 and Skyrim. I love this SSD and Adata. The bracket is very nice color... to bad I can't use it in my setup. Everything runs at great speed. Great for a OS drive so I don't need to use my storage drive often unless I am diggi...
  • Cons: While I am going to buy a 125 or 250GB SSD. I make think twice about buying Adata. I have updated, re formatted, restored, changed the BIOS boot for this over 50 times, repaired windows with this drive only connected and changed windows to recognize this as the main hard drive. Still if I leave m...

Worked great for almost a year!

John A., Newegg
11 January 2012
  • Summary: When it works, it works great. But if you're planning to use it a lot, then don't expect it to last years, more like 1 year.
  • Pros: Great speeds, decent price.
  • Cons: Died after less than a year, I can only assume that's due to a poor manufacturing process.

Died within 6 months

John H., Newegg
13 November 2011
  • Summary: I've got to RMA it still, which I hope (and assume) should be fairly painless, but not my favorite thing to have to do. I bought an Intel 320 Series SSD to replace this because I couldn't afford the downtime and the failure rate didn't look nearly as bad (based on feedback I've seen)
  • Pros: Has a USB interface, it's an SSD...so it's fast, quiet, and has a low power draw
  • Cons: It died out of nowhere

1/2 advertised speed

Albert R., Newegg
15 April 2011
  • Summary: I've gotten much better results with other SSDs.
  • Pros: Got 2 of these on sale at Newegg at a good price. Installed one disk using intel RAID contoller - easy Win 7 64 install.
  • Cons: You buy SSD's for speed. First disk had 1/2 the advertised speeds - sequential reads were coming in at 140 - 150 MB/s vs 260 advertised, writes were around 90 MB/s vs 130 indicated. Added a second disk to make a RAID 0 array, and speeds almost doubled - about 260 MB/s reads and about 190 MB/s wri...

Beware Write Speed

Matt, Mwave.com
24 November 2010
  • Summary: Not as advertised. Ill keep it and try it out anyway...
  • Pros: Fast read rate
  • Cons: Contrary to their specs, the drive I received stated it has a 120 MPS write speed *they say 210 Not real thrilled about this...

Disapointed

Eric R., Newegg
17 November 2010
  • Summary: I wish I had spent extra money on a better quality SSD.
  • Pros: Sustained read speed for large files is around 250MB/s. This is about 2.5 times faster than the old hard drive.
  • Cons: Sustained write speed is no faster than the old hard drive (about 75MB/s). This is way below the "up to 130MB/s" spec for this SSD, and it's the reason for the two stars rating.

Meh. Regrets.

Cynthia H., Newegg
14 October 2010
  • Summary: 1. Immediately needed a firmware update which was hard to find, since A-Data doesn't support the drive or offer files for it anymore. 2. Since I don't reboot often, the benefits of this drive's speed are pretty minimal.
  • Pros: Decently fast and quiet.
  • Cons: 1. I use this as a boot drive for Windows 7 only, and I install almost everything to a separate drive, but between all the miscellaneous common files, DLLs, etc, etc, the 32 gigs gets eaten up almost immediately. It's just not enough space for a Windows 7 drive. 2. Works right about 97% of the ti...
