Summary: This unit does not put white powder in the air like some units. I have not had it a long time, but am very pleased with this at this point. Use it in my bedroom at night while sleeping. I live in a very dry area of the country and this helps with breathing at nigh.
Summary: best reviews. performance meets these reviews. An improvement wold be connecting it to a water line and the water coming in from the top. While it works well, I have to carry the water container to another room to fill it each time. Filling it from the top would be nice. The opening is on the bottom. It is attractive and it is form over function. I have never had a room humidifier that I didn't have to fill similarly. Once it is full, the steam is prompt and efficient.
Summary: I miss the old model that lasted for years. Some idiot thought that curved surfaces would look better. Which they do right up until you go to fill the tank. Then you've either got to find some way to prop it up or stand there holding it while it fills. I am sick and tired of people who have to change things to prove they're "doing something" at work. Whoever designed the outside of this machine should have spent their time on another game of solitaire.
Summary: The Unit produced a good stream of steam, and cleaned easily, but this units 3 gallon tank was like tissue paper. I filled the tank once, by the second time it leaked. I'll be honest, I have 2 other Honeywell units and they work flawlessly. They are also of the 4 gallon model, which cannot be found. The 4 gallon tank is thicker (or appears to be I should have measured) and after MANY years one side of the handle popped off and was quickly re-glued!
Summary: The operation of the unit is fine but the filling and refilling of the tank are near impossible. You must hold it during water fill. The older unit had a flat surface at the top, handle end, so the tank could rest untouched during filling. Why this change was made, Heaven only knows. As I am an older gent, refill is a real problem.
