Price vs Product

Owen West "ozoneauction", Amazon

  • Summary: This works just fine with very slow action on humidifying the air, but low is semi loud, but otherwise it's old school and seems to work OK.

OK

Amanda Valera, Amazon
1 May 2014
  • Summary: I don't like that you need a filter with it. It would make more sense to spend a little more on a humidifier that does not require a filter to be replaced at least every 2 months. It is kind of loud as well. Not my favorite will just buy a humidifier without a filter.

Honeywell HCM-890B Humidifier

Dr. Jerrold Katz, Amazon
5 April 2014
  • Summary: The machine consumed an adequate amount of water and increased the humidity in my room but the machine was not very happy. it growled continuously. It sounded like the machine was suffering from severe pain. I considered putting some aspirin in the water to see if this would alleviate its pain but my wife said that feeding aspirin to machines would not effect a cure. The growling was very loud. I wondered if there was some animal in the machine that was trying to escape.

  • Summary: Item works fairly well. It does what it says it does and that is all you can ask for. Fairly solid device I am sure I will get a few years out of it.

Good basic unit. Not quiet

chuck, Amazon
17 February 2014
  • Summary: I saw/heard this unit in use at someones house and decided to get my own based on the simple design and noise level. In my case, I was looking for a "white noise" generator for the bedroom along with a humidifier. This unit fits the bill nicely. If you are looking for a quiet unit - look elsewhere. The design is very simple, with only one moving part - a small fan. It works well, pumps out about a gallon of water per night when running on high.

Does an OK job

mcb, Amazon
7 February 2014
  • Summary: A tank full of water doesn't last eight hours. I expected at least twelve based on some other humidifiers I have.

David Baker

david baker, Amazon
6 February 2014
  • Summary: Okay, bought this humidifier for my parents. And went to visit them, my father says he has filled it once, ran it on low. And he requires oxygen at night. My mother is a stroke victim, and she has been suffering from severe nose bleeding. That is the reason I bought this. After careful consideration, this is the one I chose for them. It is easy for an older person to take care of. I studied quite a few. I did not consider the price when I was looking.

loud and cold

T, Amazon
4 February 2014
  • Summary: maybe i missed something, but I didnt realize this was a cool mist humidifier. Cold mist + cold air = no humidity (the dew point is too low).
